Attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz., on a baseball scholarship ... played briefly in the minors ... first born of two to Bonnie & Sam Briedis ... currently lives in Charlottesville, Va., and works at the University of Virginia as the publicist for the the football & men's lacrosse teams ... loves hole-in-the wall taco shops in Southern California and Arizona ... he has been to 46 states, 32 different MLB stadiums & 38 college bowl games ... loves to cook for Laura in his authentic, made in China, cast iron wok ... like Laura, lived in Colorado Springs for one year ... worked at Liberty University for 3 years in Lynchburg, Va., before moving north to Charlottesville ... his favorite bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.

Sister of the Bride and number three of four in the birth order. Tricia is the laid back "chill" one in the family. Fun fact about Tricia: Growing up, if one of the Ransom kids was to get sick, it would be Tricia. (Ironic, since she's also the germaphobe!) Lots of fun memories of Tricia as a child: her affinity for playing "dog", carrying her yellow blanket around with her ... everywhere, being scared of the "man in the closet" thanks to her older sis, and her hatred for anything "dress up." Kind of stunk getting all of Laura's girlie hand me downs! She currently works as a Respiratory Therapist in Columbus. She enjoys dinners out, being with friends, but mostly, likes a quiet and peaceful existence.

Brother of the Groom - Vince gave him chickenpox when he was 1 & 1/2 ... every summer as kids Vince & Andrew had epic Mario Cart battles on Super Nintendo ... spent a great part of his childhood in the stands rooting Vince on playing baseball, most likely with nachos ... loves all things Jurassic Park & first read the book when he was around the 3rd or 4th grade ... allowed Vince to drag him & his dog to Cooperstown, N.Y., in 2007 for Tony Gwynn’s Hall of Fame Induction ... lives in NYC with his wife, Sarah, & their dog, Ozzy ... wrote 2 books under Twitter handle @Actor_Friend ... a personal trainer & writer, he came out of acting retirement in 2017 for season premiere of Netflix's "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt."

Jamie & Laura both grew up in good 'ole Crawford County their whole lives, but didn't know each other until Jamie became Laura's boss. While working for Avita Health System, a budding friendship grew. Jamie & Laura have enjoyed LOTS of adventures together: Kentucky Derby in 2016; a trip to Chicago where they stayed at a complete stranger's house (thank you Airbnb!) and walked a mile in the POURING rain because taxis don't transport drenched people; a trip to Nashville, TN, over the 4th of July ... it rained too ... BUT the girls got cool boots! They've enjoyed many dinners & many shopping excursions together over the years. Jamie is an Office Manger for an Orthopedic facility in Galion, OH, and a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Her cat Loki's wardrobe proves it :)

Vince's college friend from Grand Canyon University ... first met freshman year in a College Algebra class ... Vince's chauffer at GCU for a good 2 years in his red Avenger ... loves to pull pranks (watch out Bucyrus, more importantly, watch out Vince) ... hails originally from Lincoln, Neb., and is a huge Cornhuskers fan (nobody is perfect) ... encouraged Vince in college to start praying for his future wife (that became the best & most blessed 17-year prayer ever) ... started Vince's huge appreciation for Garth Brooks since beach kids from So Cal don't listen to much country music ... has an affinity for "Weiner Dogs," dachshunds to the lay person ... currently lives in Flagstaff, Ariz., with his wife Erin (also a good college friend), & their 2 children ... is a neurological surgeon PA.
Sheila Maley

She'll tell ya like it is ... it's one of the things Laura most admires about Sheila. What you see is what you get. She's hilarious, honest, loyal and will do anything for you. Sheila and Laura worked as receptionists, side by side as partners in crime, at a local Orthopedic practice. (Jamie, see above.. had to keep us in line!) They bonded sharing many laughs together "checking out" patients. Also, they once had a friendly rivalry, cheering for opposite football teams as they went head to head. Laura's team came out on top! Another memory: walking around the Ohio State Fair on one of the hottest days of the summer scoping out the best food joints! Sheila loves to cook, and on occasion, Laura has benefited :)

Vince's former roommate for 7 years in Charlottesville ... can sing a medley of hits from the 1980s and 1990s ... local pastor and radio personality in Charlottesville, Va. ... hosts a weekday sports talk show from 6-8 p.m. on WINA 1070 AM ... Jay is also the UVA football radio sideline reporter for the Virginia Sports Network ... Vince's hype man ... can’t walk around Charlottesville with him without someone knowing him and coming up to say hello ... will dine at any restaurant as long as bread is served prior to the meal ... wears a suit most days for work, but has been known to go to the movies in a t-shirt, sweat pants and his dress shoes ... Vince & Jay love watching the Tyler Perry catalog of movies together ... one of VB's biggest encouragers in Christ.

Laura and Aimee's paths crossed when Laura landed a job as the administrative assistant for the Administration Department at Galion Community Hospital. Aimee's office was closest to Laura near the front desk. Through their closeness in proximity at the office, Laura learned that Aimee is an awesome DJ! ("Hey Laura, you ok with a country music mix for background music?!") - However, their friendship didn't end at Avita. Ironically enough, Aimee took a new job in Columbus a few short months before Laura relocated as well, and graciously allowed Laura to stay with her a few weeks to make the transition easier. Aimee is hilarious, smart, selfless, thoughtful and just so much fun. She makes a MEAN steak on the grill. Laura is honored that Aimee will be a part of her day.
Kirk Ransom

Brother of the bride ... of the four siblings, he is the second oldest ... can write, sing and play music ... you will find Kirk playing the guitar and singing at the wedding, per Laura's request ... as a child Laura would make Kirk play "Prairie Girl and Indians" with her ... met his wife, Anzhela, in Wuhan, China while they were both studying abroad ... they were married in China in the summer of 2014 ... returned to the USA in July 2016 full-time and first met Vince at the Detroit airport after a long flight back to the states ... Kirk and Anzhela reside in Mansfield, Ohio ... can throw a mean bocce ball.

Laura's first and only sister-in-law, Anzhela is a breath of fresh air to the Ransom clan. Born and raised in Astrakhan, Russia, she met Laura's brother Kirk while studying abroad in Wuhan, China. Laura is very grateful Anzhela and Kirk's paths crossed, they fell in love, and marriage happened. The couple has recently located closer to home so Laura's been able to see more of them. Anzhela loves children, cooking, the great outdoors and has the ability to speak three languages fluently. She's well traveled, but had never been stateside until she and Kirk moved here to live. She's adapted impeccably! (except for all the sweet food ... and soft drinks with ice!).

One of Vince's oldest and dearest friends ... been friends with Vince since the first grade ... Travis & Vince have experienced a ton of life together from yearly trips to Disneyland, to nightly stops at Starbucks at the local Barnes & Noble, to cruising down to Baja, Mexico for good eats & chill beach time ... studied abroad in Siena, Italy for a semester in college and prayed his way through Italian churches for Vince's mom as she battled breast cancer ... lived in Chicago for one year after law school while getting his LLM from DePaul Law School ... enjoys going for weekend rides on his bike ... does a gnarly Scottish accent ... resides in San Diego, Calif.
