FAQs

Question

What is the date and time of the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding celebration runs from the afternoon of Friday, 5th December 2025 to Sunday, 7th December 2025. We’ll start the celebrations with a relaxed braai for all guests on Friday evening. The wedding ceremony will take place on Saturday afternoon at 3pm, followed by the reception in the evening. Note, shuttles will be arranged to take all guests to and from the ceremony area, so although the ceremony will start at 3pm, you will need to catch the shuttle at 14h15. Shuttles will bring guests back to Prince Albert and straight to The Olive House where the reception will be held. Shuttles will be on standby from 10.00pm to take guests back to town after the ceremony. Please see the Schedule section on our wedding website for the full weekend itinerary.

Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

We're celebrating across three beautiful locations in and around Prince Albert: Friday Braai: African Relish (in town) Saturday Ceremony: Swartberg Pass (in the mountains) Saturday Reception: The Olive House (just outside Prince Albert) More details and directions are available under "Schedule" on the website.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. Please dress up but comfortably, keeping in mind the Karoo heat and the possibility of wind, especially for the outdoor ceremony. Think linen and light dresses. At the ceremony venue, the terrain is rocky, so ladies, we recommend block heels or flats.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be outdoors, so plan for sun, wind, and dancing under the stars!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We’d love to host everyone, but due to space constraints, we are only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Friday Braai: Street parking is available at African Relish. Saturday: Guests will meet at Local Roots in town to catch the shuttles to the ceremony and back to our reception at The Olive House. Shuttles will then be on standby at the venue from 11.30pm to take our guests back into town.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Friday Braai: Please arrive by 5:00 PM. Saturday Ceremony: Details on shuttle departure times are under "schedule". Please arrive on time to ensure you don’t miss the shuttles!

Question

Will food and drinks be served?

Answer

Absolutely! Food and drinks at both the Friday braai and the Saturday reception will be supplied.
