While you're in Nashville, you pretty much have to try Hattie B's Restaurant. It is basically a requirement. While the Bride has never eaten here (as they have no Celiac friendly food, unfortunately), the Groom definitely thinks a trip is worth your while.
If the weather is nice (and we really, really hope it is), you should stop by Centennial Park. We go to this park at least three times a month, and it never gets old. There is a beautiful lake, gorgeous flower gardens, nice walking trails and a giant replica of the Parthenon right in the center. We love it so much we took our engagement photos here. We almost got engaged here, but you should ask Nate about that...
This is Mexican food, done by hipsters who probably have never had Mexican food. Yet somehow, it is delicious. The Sloppy Nachos are out of this world, and the Enchiladas Suizas are fantastic. We like it so much we both showed up with our parents on the same day, at the same time, well before we had decided to let them properly meet. It's less awkward now that we're getting married.
So, 12th Avenue South is more multiple destinations than one specific destination. This used to be one of our favorite places, until we realized driving around looking for parking was no longer that romantic. But we do suggest hopping in a Lyft and checking out everything 12th South has to offer. There is Edley's BBQ, Burger Up, Las Paletas for some Mexican popsicles or Jenni's Ice Cream (the flavors are weird, but good) or stop for a picture in front of one of Nashville's many Instagram worthy wall murals - the famous "I Believe in Nashville" one! Stop by Frothy Monkey for a great coffee, just make sure you don't interrupt any awkward first dates.
