It was a cold December morning when this tiny beauty walked into the repair room at the Apple Store in Nashville for the first time, where I was elbow deep in a computer. Laura commands most rooms she visits, and this one was no different, as she had everyone knotted up with laughter in moments. She had transferred in from Memphis, and I wasn't aware at the time that she would be bringing with her such joy and love to my life. Laura has stuck with me through immense personal growth, and has helped make me the best version of myself. As soon as we began dating, I knew that I had to get my ducks in a row, because this was it -- she's the one! It took me a little longer than either of us liked to get said ducks in said row, but once I did, we were both ready to start a life together. On December 8, 2018, three years almost to the day after we met, I asked her to marry me.
I met Nate shortly before Christmas 2014, on my first day at Apple Green Hills in Nashville. I took a sneaky picture of him to send to my friends, because I knew I was in trouble the moment I saw him. Understatement of the year. We went on our first date in January 2015. It was fantastic, and I knew it was something special. He did not ask me out again. Dating is hard, y’all. And so is Nate’s head. I love Nate’s sense of humor, his confidence, the fact he’s talented at just about everything and the way he can quote Con Air without missing a word. But what I love most is his beautiful heart. He is the kindest, warmest, most genuine person I’ve ever met. In our past three years together, I’ve seen him grow, seen him love bigger and better, and seen him become the man I’ve always believed he could be. I am very happy he finally came to his senses, and asked me on that second date. And I am beyond happy to spend the rest of my life with him.
