We are getting married! ¡Nos casamos!

En 2023, la vida nos llevó a Bulgaria: Laura por una beca y Liam por un deployment. Ahí el por el destino, coincidimos. Liam la invitó a salir, aunque al principio dudó… porque estaba convencido de que Laura podía robarle los órganos jaja. Aun así, aceptó la cita, y desde el primer minuto todo fluyó como si ya nos conociéramos. Una semana después hicimos nuestro primer viaje a Sofía, y el 8 de octubre de 2023, en una pequeña isla, nos hicimos novios. Compartimos cada fin de semana hasta enero de 2024, cuando Laura regresó a Colombia. Días después, Liam le contó su familia que quería proponerse, él compró el anillo, y en abril viajó por primera vez a Colombia para pedirle matrimonio en una playa de Santa Marta. Luego vino otra etapa a distancia hasta septiembre, cuando Laura se mudó a Estados Unidos. Nos veíamos cada fin de semana, pero en diciembre ya no quisimos esperar más: el 31 de diciembre de 2024 nos casamos civilmente junto a la familia de Liam. Ahora queremos celebrar este amor en grande, también junto a la familia de Laura. Desde el primer día supimos que la distancia nunca sería un obstáculo. Cruzamos fronteras, aprendimos nuevos idiomas y confirmamos que estábamos destinados. Hoy celebramos nuestro amor por segunda vez… esta vez con todos ustedes. ____________ In 2023, life took us both to Bulgaria: Laura for a scholarship and Liam for a deployment. We matched immediately, and Liam invited her out, though he hesitated at first because he was convinced Laura might steal his organs lol. Still, he showed up, and from the very first moment, everything just clicked. One week later, we traveled to Sofia together, and on October 8, 2023, on a small island, we became a couple. We spent every weekend together until January 2024, when Laura returned to Colombia. Days later, Liam told his family he wanted to propose. He bought the ring, and in April he traveled to Colombia for the first time to ask Laura to marry him on a beach in Santa Marta. We went through another period of long distance until September, when Laura moved to the U.S. We still saw each other every weekend, and by December we couldn’t wait any longer: on December 31, 2024, we got married in a small civil ceremony with Liam’s family. Now we want to celebrate our love in a big way, also surrounded by Laura’s family. From day one, we knew distance wouldn’t stop us. We crossed borders, learned new languages, and confirmed we were meant for each other. Today, we celebrate our love for the second time… this time with all of you.
