Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Laura Stewart and Lauren Yoder
Ouray is in the heart of the San Juan Mountain Range in Colorado and is within driving distance of several other incredible parts of Colorado and surrounding states. - Telluride, CO (1 hr drive) Iconic Colorado town with gorgeous views and lots of outdoor activities and high end shopping experiences. - Grand Junction, CO (2 hr drive) Colorado wine country. Rent bikes and bike between wineries! - Moab, UT (3 hr drive) Visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks! Late September provides perfect weather for a visit to this area. Some of the local spots we recommend are below. We also suggest checking out visitouray.com while planning your trip!

Ouray Hot Springs

1220 Main St., Ouray, CO 81427
, 970-325-7073

This is a must do activity in Ouray! The hot springs are almost 100 years old and have several different pools at varying temps. We recommend an evening soak overlooking the San Juan's as the sun goes down.

Box CaƱon Falls

30 Box Canyon Road, Ouray, CO 81427
, (970) 325-7080

There is a visitor center and several very easy walking trails that give you access to the falls as they plummet into the Uncompahgre river.

Million Dollar Highway

U.S. 550, Silverton/Ouray, CO 81433

The million dollar highway (US Route 55) runs between Silverton and Ouray and is widely regarded as one of the nations most beautiful stretches of road. The view is worth it, but this drive is not for the faint of heart!

Local Ghost Towns

There are several ghost towns nearby accessible by car. In this part of the state, there is no shortage of former mining towns that provide a step back in time!
