Delicious modern Mexican food and drinks right on the San Diego bay with a skyline view of the city. Our favorite spot to grab lunch or dinner near the airport if you have time.
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve
About a 25 minute drive from our venue. One of our favorite hikes in the San Diego area. Not too difficult, about 3/4 of a mile uphill and then a beautiful trail hike down to the beach through slot canyons with gorgeous views of the coast along the way. We recommend bringing your bathing suit and jumping in the ocean at the end of the hike! Check out the Grill at Torrey Pines Lodge nearby for a nice lunch.
Annie's Canyon Trail
About a 20 minute drive from our venue. Our favorite short and easy hike through a slot canyon that ends with a picturesque view of the ocean and lagoon. Check out Claire's on Cedros a few minutes away for a delicious coffee, pastry, breakfast or lunch.
Downtown Encinitas
One of our favorite areas to hang out on the weekends. Similar to Carlsbad Village, a great place to shop, dine, and drink within walking distance of the beach!
Carlsbad Village
Cute downtown area of Carlsbad with shopping, restaurants, bars, surf lessons, and more.
Tamarack Surf Beach
Local beach that is walking distance from downtown Carlsbad. About a 15 minute drive from our venue.
Terramar Beach
Another lovely beach about a 15 minute drive from our venue.

Check out their golf, tennis, pickleball, and spa if you're looking to splurge.
Lakehouse Resort
Enjoy two golf courses, water activities such as boat rentals, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing, and more at this resort in San Marcos.
Downtown San Diego
If you're staying for the rest of the weekend, check out downtown and all it has to offer! Padres games at Petco Park, Gaslamp District bars and restaurants, and sailboat rides on the bay are some of our favorite activities this time of year (contact Laura for more information regarding the boat ride that we love if you are interested in reserving).
San Diego Zoo
Check out our world famous San Diego Zoo, currently hosting pandas! Located next to Balboa Park, a beautiful area with gardens and museums to explore.
