Despite growing up only 5 minutes from each other, Laura and Jacob first met in July of 2011, two days before Laura’s 15th birthday. They were introduced at a mutual friend’s house and formed an instant connection. They spent the rest of the summer together, often at the beach, and nearly always with a burrito in hand. On July 28th, 2011 Laura and Jacob decided to make their relationship official.

After settling in to their new life together in Massachusetts, Laura and Jacob both felt ready to take the next step in their relationship. As Jacob wrapped up his second year of medical school, he and Laura embarked on an unforgettable trip to Italy in April of 2022. What Laura didn’t realize at the time was that Jacob had been planning to propose to her at a very special place in Florence. They spent the day of the proposal enjoying the incredible art in the Uffizi and Accademia galleries before heading up the hill to the Abbazia di San Miniato al Monte, a beautiful church overlooking the entire city of Florence. They sipped wine in the courtyard and took in an amazing sunset before Laura said yes to marrying her best friend. We are so excited to share the next chapter of our love story with you, as we get married on April 13, 2024.
