THE CHESAPEAKE Corolla, NC Airport: Norfolk International Airport (ORF) The airport is approximately 2 hours from Corolla, NC. We strongly recommend renting a vehicle that has 4WD or AWD at ORF. Ubers can be expensive and unreliable in OBX. Transportation Details: **READ TRAVEL NOTE CAREFULLY AS THE VENUE IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE VIA BEACH ACCESS** The Chesapeake is only accessible via beach access so the address will not populate in maps. Please use the below address for directions. Twiddy & Company Reality - Corolla 1142 Ocean Trail Corolla, North Carolina 27927 If you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle and are able to drive to The Chesapeake, you should use Twiddy's parking lot to deflate your tires to 18-20 PSI before heading to the beach access road. If you do not have a 4WD or AWD vehicle and are staying at The Chesapeake, there is parking available at Twiddy's. More details below. We will provide transportation to and from The Chesapeake for our Wedding!

Travel Note

4x4 ROAD

The Chesapeake is ONLY accessible via beach. In order to access the home you will need a four-wheel drive vehicle or all-wheel drive vehicle that has at least 7.5" of ground clearance. If driving to The Chesapeake, after deflating your tires at Twiddy's, continue down Ocean Trail to the beach access entrance. Drive on the beach for approximately 10 minutes until you see a sign for The Chesapeake at the entrance of the Dunes. If you do not have a 4WD vehicle, there is parking available in the Twiddy's parking lot. There is small fee for parking your car in the lot overnight ($7/night). The parking passes for this lot must be purchased in advance. Please follow the link for further instructions. If you are staying at The Chesapeake and are parking in the Twiddy's lot, please let us know as soon as possible in order to make transportation arrangements. Wild Horse Inn is the closest hotel to our venue. This is a boutique style hotel and it is on a first come first serve basis. Unfortunately, they do not offer a room block since they are a boutique hotel. The sooner you are able to book your room the better in order to ensure you don't miss out.
