What is the best airport to fly into?
Answer
We recommend flying into Norfolk, VA (ORF), which is about 2 hours from the venue. It’s the closest option with plenty of flights. We strongly recommend renting a car as Ubers are unreliable in OBX.

What type of car should I rent?
Answer
Please rent a car with 4WD or AWD that has at-least 7.5 inches of ground clearance. The best cars for beach driving are: Trucks, Jeeps, Suburbans, Navigators, Broncos, Subarus, RAV4, etc! Please let us know if you have any questions.

When should I deflate my vehicles tires to 18-20 PSI for beach driving?

Lower your tire pressure at the Twiddy & Company Reality - Corolla office parking lot, prior to traveling to the North Beach Access ramp to the 4x4 beaches. No vehicle of any type may park or unload at the North Beach Access at any time. 1142 Ocean Trail Corolla, NC 27927

Will transportation be provided for the wedding?
Answer
Yes! Transportation will be provided. Pick up and drop off will be at Twiddy’s which is a 3 min walk from Wild Horse Inn or a 5 min walk from Corolla Village Inn. If you are renting a house or a VRBO/AirBNB please keep in mind transportation will be from Twiddy’s.

The ceremony and the reception will be at The Chesapeake! Since The Chesapeake is only accessible by the beach roads, the closest address to use is 1142 Ocean Trail Corolla, NC 27927

How do I get to The Chesapeake if I am driving since it does not populate in maps?

Twiddy's - Corolla 1142 Ocean Trail Corolla, NC 27927 After deflating your tires here, continue down Ocean Trail road to the beach access entrance. Enter the beach and continue driving on the beach for approximately 10 minutes. You will see a sign for The Chesapeake at the entrance of the Dunes. Please call with any questions.

What should I wear for the wedding day?

Our dress code is Formal. Think suits and mid-length to long dresses. Our ceremony will be on the beach (weather permitting), so sand-friendly shoes are a good call!

Should I avoid certain colors?
Answer
We’d love it if you avoided white, ivory, or anything too close—just to keep the photos looking fab.

Will the bar be open or cash-only?

We’ll have an open bar—so come ready to party!

If your invite says “and guest”, yes! Otherwise, we’re keeping things intimate and can’t accommodate extra guests—thank you for understanding.

If your invite says "and family", then yes! Otherwise, please leave the little ones at home. We hope you enjoy a well-deserved night (few days) off!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?
Answer
We’re having an unplugged ceremony, so we kindly ask guests to keep phones and cameras tucked away until after. Our photographers will capture all of the special moments that will be shared with all guests!
