Travel Note
The Gurdwara is located in New Westminster, which is about a 35 minute drive from downtown Vancouver. New Westminster is a smaller city with some hotel options along the quay. It is likely a more affordable option than staying in Vancouver. If this is your first time visiting BC, we recommend staying in Vancouver to get the full experience! Downtown Vancouver will allow you to see the city as well as be in close proximity to some of the local beaches/parks (refer to the What to Do section of the website for some recommendations on what to see!). The downtown area is accessible by the skytrain, which runs directly to New Westminster and Surrey. Some areas that are nice to stay in Vancouver include downtown, Olympic Village, Mount Pleasant and Kitsilano (where Laura and Gurvir currently live!).

For guests coming from out of town, this is where the pre-wedding celebrations will be held. There is a 10% discount for this hotel - you are simply required to show the wedding invitation at check-in. You are also able to call the hotel directly to discuss the discount. Please note this location is not accessible by transit, and car would be required to get around from this location!
