Dean and Laura began their story in one of America’s most influential cities – Wilmington, Delaware. Dean, as a second year analyst at JPMorgan, spotted Laura on her first day and would say it was love at first sight. He even recalls the blue pants Laura was wearing as she walked into Starbucks. As Dean learned in college, P!erseverance is key in order to get what you want…and he did just that. “Coincidental” run-ins at the coffee machine began to open the young Latina’s eyes into thinking this Jersey guy wasn’t so bad. And so, after six long months, Laura gave him a shot. The office romance did not come easy as they had to maneuver colleagues and managers on a daily basis, leading Dean to take his talents to the real big city – New York. A year later (against all odds and the pandemic in full swing), Laura joined him in Manhattan where they began building the foundation of their relationship as well as their careers, which has led them to this day. From 2019-2023, the two fell in love while learning and merging cultures and developing a friendship that to this day is the foundation that keeps every day filled with jokes and laughter. In the summer of 2023, Dean travelled with Laura, her brother and mother to her home country of Bolivia to experience the town and country that Laura and her family immigrated from. There, in her grandmother’s bedroom (whom Laura was extremely close with), Dean asked Laura’s mother for permission to marry her daughter. Then, on November 3rd, 2023, five years to the day of their first date and first kiss, Dean proposed to Laura along the oceanside in Palm Beach, Florida. Exactly 18 months later, they look forward to celebrating their love and marriage alongside all of their family and friends on May 3rd, 2025 in Boca Raton, Florida.
