We’re gettin’ hitched!

We met in the 7th floor coomon room of Walker Hall our freshman year at Western Carolina. It was through mutual friends, although, it wasnt their goal to set us up rather it was just by chance. It was really only about a month into school. We would see each other in the hall or on campus but didnt talk much until around Halloween when we started hanging out. It was November 5, when he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. And the rest is history, except it wasnt. The first several months of our relationship at the time was made difficult by my best friend and roomate at the time. But it all worked out eventually. We have improved each others lives in more ways than one since the begining. He introduced me to rugby and following that I joined the womens club team at Western where I made some lifelong friends and I am forever grateful for that and everything else he has brought into my life. I hope the reverse is true. We have become friends with each others friends and made some together. We both love the others families, despite it being overwhelming for us both on occasion. But it is being overwhlmed with love. We are grateful for their support, as family is very important to us both. We will be glad to celebrate our special day with all of you!

Can you believe I planned my own engagemnt? If you know Chris or myself even a little bit it is probably not a huge suprise, although I didn’t know I had right up until the moment he asked. And what a birthday present!
