Given the small nature of the wedding, we have elected not to book a room block. There are multiple hotels and Airbnb's available in the area, some of which we have suggested below, and we encourage you to pick the one that works best for you! Please keep in mind the shuttle will not be making any stops for pickups/dropoffs between Carmel and Big Sur. If you choose to stay in Big Sur you will be responsible for your own transportation

We appreciate that so many of you are flying to celebrate us! There are multiple Bay Area airports to choose from including SFO, OAK, and SJC. San Jose is the closest major airport and about a 1.5 hour drive from Carmel-by-the-Sea. For a closer regional airport you may be able to find a connecting flight to Monterey Regional Airport which is about 15 minutes away!

Shuttle

April 10, 2026 3:00 pm

A shuttle will run from Carmel-by-the-Sea to the ceremony site in Big Sur, final pickup/dropoff spot to be confirmed closer! It is approximately a 40 minute ride. The shuttle will also be available to take everyone from the ceremony site to reception site, and back to Carmel at the end of the night. There will only be one shuttle, so if you miss it, you're on your own! A note on ride shares. It is well known that while Uber and Lyft are available in the Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea areas, they are not available in Big Sur. Please do not rely on this for your wedding transportation!
