Dear family and Friends, we have set our NEW WEDDING DATE for October 2, 2022. We can't wait to see you all there! Love, Laura and Anton
The Bride: Anton and I met at his best friend's Super Bowl LI Party. One of my best friends, Maddie, invited me and so of course I had to go. There was a bit of a crowd, more than what I anticipated, but I did notice Anton in the corner with his big smile. After that day I didn't think I'll see him again; until some days after we all met up at Kabana's day party (those good ol' care free days). There I caught Anton spilling a freshly made drink on video til this day he claims he didn't (needless to say he's still as clumsy)! That evening we went to Tobacco Co., we talked a bit about what we wanted and needed in our lives. In that conversation we learned we desired similar things Anton demonstrated what an excellent listener he could be because this girl can talk! A couple of months later, we found ourselves in that same relationship we spoke about wanting and needing. I found my person who laughs at my corny jokes, who has my back no matter the circumstance, who cooks the best meal, who loves me enough to tell me when i'm wrong but celebrates my triumphs and who is the best father to our son. The Groom: I first met Laura at a Super Bowl LI party that we threw at my best friend’s house. Laura came with some mutual friends and was on her phone for most of the night, so we may have exchanged maybe two words between eachother. As fate would have it, we ended up meeting with each other a few times after that, through mutual friend gatherings. The more time we spent together, the more I felt connected to her contagious energy. I still remember the day that we met at a party at the Kabana Rooftop. She had a glow. I mean, she was always a beautiful woman, but on this day, she had this amazing glow and energy that I couldn’t help but notice. From the Kabana Rooftop party, we left to the Tobacco Company lounge, where after a couple of drinks, we started talking about life and what we wanted out of it. It wasn’t long before we realized that we wanted quite a few of the same things. I always say that was the night that our souls met. We saw our true selves in that moment, and it transcended everything that we thought we knew about each other. We hid our relationship for a little while --- we weren’t supposed to break the code of dating in the friend circle, but the secret didn’t last long. A couple of dances at a day party can really give a whole relationship away. Thanks, DJ Rayvon.
The Bride: When Anton and I first started dating, we made trips to the beach often and managed to enjoy a nice, cool beverage with our feet in the sand; but most importantly each other's company. Fast Forward to February 16, 2019. We went on a Valentine's weekend getaway to Myrtle Beach. When we got to the hotel, he told me he had to make reservations for dinner. Later that evening, we went to dinner and the hostess tells us it'll be an hour wait. I turned to Anton and said, "I thought you made reservations?" He said, "Yeah... I tried". After dinner, we went back to the hotel. I sped to the room because it was such a cold night. When I opened the door, there were balloons everywhere with pictures of us attached. When I turned around, there was Anton down on one knee with a ring in his hand! I was overwhelmed with emotions and at that very moment I wanted to replay it over and over again. Of course I said YES. Then all of a sudden I put all the pieces together and said well that explains why you were all out of breath when you returned from making "dinner reservations." Now A ring and a baby later I can't wait to say I DO to my favorite guy <3! The Groom: It wasn’t but 13 months into dating before I purchased a wedding ring. When you know, you know. It took me almost as long to find the perfect opportunity to propose. We had a discussion about how she had never been to Myrtle Beach and how I had never been to a beach in the winter, so I reserved an ocean front suite for the occasion. I decided that I would take her out on a date and have the staff decorate the room, as a surprise. Little did I know, that I was going to have to be the one to get the balloons blown up. I told her I was making dinner reservations. When we returned from our date, she opened the door to a setup of balloons of all sizes, and pictures we took over the course of our relationship. While she was running from picture to picture, I was getting on one knee to propose. And the rest is history. L | A
