Guests flying in will want to fly into SeaTac. There is a lightrail that goes from the airport to downtown for about $2. Super convenient and much better than braving traffic! If you are staying at the Fairmont, the University Street stop on the light rail is only a few blocks from the hotel.
For anyone not staying at the Fairmont, there are lots of great AirBNB options and other hotels near the Fairmont that are reasonably priced. Capital Hill and First Hill neighborhoods are close to downtown and have lots of great cafes, restaurants, shops and a great night life. Queen Anne is also a wonderful neighborhood that is only a few miles from downtown.
We do not have room blocks at any hotels, but have listed a few options here for anyone looking for different options. All of these are right in downtown and conveniently located near Fairmont and close to Capitol Hill, the neighborhood where our reception will be.
