Greenhorn Creek Resort
Greenhorn Creek Resort is an open to the public Championship Course located in Angels Camp, CA, the basecamp of the beautiful Central Sierra. The country club resort property, situated at 1,500 feet elevation is ideally situated for year-round golf. In the winter, the golf club resort is below the snow line, but above the Central Valley fog. In the spring and fall, guests enjoy a picturesque landscape and idyllic temperatures. Located in Murphys, California, our 9-hole course is often referred to as a ‘hidden gem’, and we certainly agree! The course is set deep in the surroundings of giant pines, great oaks, and towering cedars – offering stunning views and an idyllic escape.
Mercer Caverns
Experience what it was like to mine for minerals in the 1800s at the Mercer Caverns Mining Company. Several kinds of "mining rough" may be purchased so that guests may experience first hand what it is like to mine for minerals in a mining sluice. As you wash away the mining rough you will discover a variety of mineral or fossil treasures in each bag. Each bag of mining rough comes with an identification card to help you identify the minerals or fossils that you find. You also get a "keeper" bag so that you can take any treasures that you find home with you.
Moaning Caverns Adventure Park
Gold miners first explored Moaning Caverns in the 1840’s and 1850’s. Today, visitors enter by descending a metal spiral staircase for cave tours and family adventure!
