We are so incredibly excited to share our special day with you all. Although this is a celebration of Myles and I getting married, it's also a celebration of YOU! Our loved ones. Without you, your love, and support, we wouldn't be the people we are today, and thus the partner we are for each other. Thank you and know your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift!
2020 was an interesting year to say the least. Some people occupied their time baking bread, others started a garden....Laura decided to try out the dating apps (I mean what other option did she have) and made it her mission to find a man. Months of swiping, messaging, facetiming, and distant dating was leaving her feeling deflated and most certain there were no quality men left in bay area. But one sunny fall morning in October...she received a message from a handsome suitor. "Normally I'm a great flosser, but I just got braces on 2 days ago and I'm feeling a little lost" he said. Now looking at his pictures Laura thought, "He's too good looking....and a sleeve of tattoos? picture saving baby ducks??...probably another womanizing douche....BUT, perhaps I should at least give him some dental advise...its the right thing to do." And so our beautiful heroine rapid fired all the useful dental tips and before long she realized she was nonstop smiling as their conversation moved to their love of motorcycles and adventures, animals and their families. It honestly felt too good to be true. The next day Myles asked Laura to join him on a walk at San Leandro Marina after he finished some training. And so the two misfits had their first date and walked the Marina talking, laughing and enjoyed themselves so much they went for drinks afterwards at Son of Liberty. While enjoying their beers and conversation, they were visited by a steady stream of government employees , making their presence known. Apparently Myles had told his coworkers he couldn't go out with them because he had to get home....only to see it was really to go on this date....and so Laura was gifted lots of personal real information from outside sources on this seemly too perfect man. Apparently nothing scared her and they ended the night dancing to Tennessee whiskey in the parking lot. From that day forward they both knew they had found something really special and they wanted nothing more than to put their energy into learning more about this amazing person.
Myles knew quickly after meeting Laura, she was the woman he wanted to spend his life with. In September of 2021, Myles and Laura embarked on a beautiful vacation with good friends to the romantic countryside of Italy and then gorgeous coastline of Croatia. Myles knew this would be the perfect location to pop the question. He sought guidance and blessings from close loved ones on how to create this magical moment. Friends Joe and Katie were instrumental in creating the perfect ring from start to finish. And with help from Nik and Dawn, Myles was able to execute a dream proposal at sunset in Croatia that completely had Laura surprised!
