Tara has been my bestfriend since Junior High School. We became very close our Junior and Senior year in High School. We played sports together, took our first college course together, but most importantly, we studied and encouraged each other. We even shared our first semester in college together at Tuskegee University! She is the Godmother to my first child, Kenneth. After marriage, she moved to San Diego, CA. Even thousands of miles away, our friendship never changed. We tend to cheer each other on from a distance. One of the things I admire about her is her strength to persevere through anything. She's been married for 13 years. She graduated with her Doctorate in Systems Engineering. She has truly been my inspiration and motivation. One thing we always had in common was wanting more for ourselves and our kids. I am honored to have her as my Matron of Honor.

We call LaVann, Kid. I grew up with him. We even lived together in Madison for about two years! He's my right hand man. It is an honor to have him in my wedding.

Timerria is my Bestfriend. We kicked it in high school, but became Besties once we moved to Huntsville going to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She is literally been there for me through everything, The Good, Bad, and Ugly! She is the Godmother to my daughter, Paris. I am one of the Godmothers to her daughter, Madisyn. We share so many memories and been so many places, just living life. Words cannot express how grateful I am that she's in my life and my family lives. She has been to countless basketball, football, and baseball games for my Kenneth. She's the one I tell all my secrets to. She now has a family of her own and I can't wait to support her with whatever she needs. She graduated from Southern University with her Master's in Program Management! We have encouraged each other through so many life experiences and I am honored she's my Maid of Honor.

I met Tracy through my soon to be wife. He's married to her first cousin, Jaketa. I was in his wedding. Tracy and I talk almost everyday. That's my Dogg. If you need advice or anybody to talk to, call Tracy!!! It is an honor to have him in my wedding.

Shereda is my only Sister. She is my Big Sister. She has been there for me since we were knee high. She has fought so many of my battles. No matter how many fights we had, she has always been there. One thing I admire about her is her heart. She has four beautiful children, KaTori, Amyiah, Zamyiah, and ZaKyra. Anything she has, you can get it. She might can't hold water, but she will give you her last. I still remember her helping raise my Kenneth. His first year of school (Pre-K), he stayed with her. I am forever grateful to her and so honored that she's celebrating this day with me as my Bridesmaid.

Jaketa is my baby sister I never had. She has been my shadow since she was little. She is the first to get married in our inner family, which is total motivation for me. Her and her husband's intimacy gives one hope that real love is out there. I still remember her brushing my hair and we sitting watching Lifetime movies all day long. She has always been one call away. She is the glue and secret ear to my stepdaughters. She has two handsome sons , Tyler and Konner, and a stepdaughter, Bug. I am so honored to have her in my family and in my wedding as my bridesmaid.

Tamaya is my first cousin. She is quiet, shy, sweet, but silly! She has always been the one to do her own thing. She's our gorgeous cousin. We have that bond that you can't explain, but you know is pure. She has one beautiful daughter, Da'Myiah. I am so proud that she is pursuing her dreams. She is currently attending Athens University and I can't wait to celebrate at the finish line with her. I am very honored to have her as my Bridesmaid.

Allesha and I have been friends since Junior High School. She was my first real friend besides my cousins. Even though we grew apart after me moving to Huntsville, we still have remained friends. I still remember Ms. Dorothy getting on to us or you telling her you were coming over to get help on your homework. You said, "She like you Shonda cause she would have cussed you out!" She has one handsome son, Braylon. I am very honored to have my longtime friend as my Bridesmaid.

Precious and I met through Timerria. She is the tall light-skinned pretty friend. She has one son, Malachi, that my family just adores. She has such a genuine and giving heart! We have become real close these past seven or eight years. I still remember my son saying, "You only have three friends: Merria, Precious, and Belinda!" We have so many memories together, but very few pictures. I just admire how she is raising her son. She keeps us laughing no matter what the situation is. There's never a dull moment with her. We are like family. She has supported me through so much from picking KD up when I'm out of town to dropping him some food off. I am truly grateful and honored to have her as my Bridesmaid.

Belinda is my friend from High School. We played volleyball and took classes together. She is my silly friend. I still remember us riding the bus to trade school and we laugh there and back. She is such a home body, but her love and support is pure! She's the friend that you want to party with, when she do go. She's our pretty friend. She has a son, Mhauri, who reminds me so much of KD, from the sports to the books. We became close friends through Timerria as well. I am truly honored to have her as my Bridesmaid.

Kerri and I have been friends since High School. She is our Stallion. She is our Nurse, who graduated with her Master's as a Nurse Practitioner! She has two Handsome boys, Davin and Dacion. She has always encouraged and motivated me through anything. I can still remember going to her for a last minute shirt, a party board, or just advice. She is a hustler! I don't think there's nothing she cannot do. We have become close these past years and just supportive of one another. We the girls from 'lil ole Sheffield' that made it!!! It is such a pleasure and honor to have her as my Bridesmaid.

Terry is my cousin. We use to work at IFP together. We use to ride to work together. After getting off work early in the morning around 4am, we use to listen to blues until 7am. It is an honor to have him in my wedding.

Ashley and I are first cousins, where blood couldn't make us more related. Her mom (my aunt) went with my Uncle Ricky! We have been friends and family since knee high. I was one of her Bridesmaids in her wedding in 2013. She has been married for seven years with a son named Xyan. He is so smart. She has truly been a motivation for me. She is my Nurse Practitioner. I still remember when I first started my Masters, she stayed texting me and encouraging me that I can do it. She told me, "You're going to look up and it's going to be time for graduation! I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but it's going to fly by!" She was so right! She's the cousin that we can go months without speaking or talking to one another and I will get a text out the blue on a holiday or just stating something encouraging. Her mom has always encouraged me and her to reach our full potential. One thing I love about Ashley is that no matter what the situation is, she is always so humble. I am truly honored to have her as my Bridesmaid.
