WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Olandus and I met at the Premier Nightclub in Sheffield, AL. I was walking by and he grabbed my arm, stopped me, and told me that I looked nice. He said he had been seeing me on Facebook, but he never thought he would see me in person because I stayed in Huntsville. I said, Wow! Really! In my head, I said, I have another stalker! He said I'm going to write you tomorrow. I said, okay! He was really drunk that night and needed a peppermint badly, so I didnt think nothing of it. A couple of days later, he wrote me. We carried casual conversations for a couple of weeks. He then asked me to a concert. I was like, I really dont do concerts. After, he talked about it everyday, I was like, Okay, I will go! A couple of days before the concert, he was like I'm not going to be able to go, but I will meet you and give you the money to go. I was thinking, he's about to be a jerk, but Ok, whatever! Next, he asked me to go out of town with him to Atlanta. I told him that I like to travel, so don't stand me up this time. We went and he was such a gentleman. I could tell he was shy by the way he kept smiling. However, we meshed right from the start. We went to Hooters, I believe. We watched Alabama play football that night and since we were both Alabama fans, we were both happy about the win! Alabama won and he won, he stole my heart right from the start!

Olandus proposed to me the night of his Mother's 58th Birthday party. All of our family and friends were there to celerate with us. After our first date to Atlanta, our relationship moved very quickly! We had and still have so much in common. We liked Mexican, Football, Basketball, Traveling, and Margaritas right from the start. Our relationship is not perfect, but it's perfect for us. It has brought us closer to God, has allowed us to open up in ways we couldn't have imagined, and confirmed that we want to spend FOREVER TOGETHER! When I wash and dry, he folds. When I cook, he's right there with me. When I clean, he cleans. We have four amazing kids together, Kenneth, Olandria, Amari, and Paris. All of them, especially our Paris, has changed our lives tremendously! We want you to know that our Family is Everything to Us. This is Us, Our Life, Our Story, & Our Forever!

Olandus is from Leighton, AL. He grew up in Red Bank and eventually graduated from Colbert County High School. I, LaShonda Carroll, is from Sheffield, AL. I graduated from Sheffield High School. As we previously stated, we met at a nightclub. That is how we met, but that's not where our story ends. After shortly dating for five months, we found out we were pregnant. This was a shock to the both of us, especially me. I had been a single mom raising my son for 9 years, and he had just ended a relationship, where he was married. Our bond was already strong, but this was the icing on the cake. From day one, he has been such a great father. He was already a gentleman, but this made me love him more. He is Everything you want in a man. He cooks, cleans, works, and rubs my feet. He is my dream come true. Olandus, on the other hand, was just learning himself and what he wanted. His mom had always spoiled him. I was always a challenge for him. He has always admired me and he loves my personality. As I tell everyone, I taught him how to Live, not for anyone else, but for himself. I showed him what its like to have dreams and goals. I introduced him into getting on a plane, eating shrimps and crablegs, and traveling, just to name a few. He has taught me patience, that this world has imperfection, as well as a man's prespective. As you know, I can be very demanding. He lives and will die by teamwork. He always show me and remind me that we are in this together. We are One. Since we been together, God has blessed us with so many things: Our family being all together under one roof, our home, and our love for each other. We have had so many good days, a few bad days, but one thing for sure, we know we cannot live without each other. We cannot wait to become one under God and looking forward to our forever together.
