Our Story

We met on Discord where, upon introducing myself, Lash promptly exited the group chat. I assumed that he was irritated that a girl had infiltrated his boys' night gaming. Little did I know, it was because he thought my voice was "angelic" and immediately fell in love with me. As far as I've been told, his heart was pitter-pattering out of his chest. He knew, from that first moment that I was the one. I, on the other hand, was completely oblivious, and when confronted with the "I like you" admission, responded with "Awww! I like you too, pal!". It didn't hit home with me until I jokingly invited him to hang out with me in Florida (he lived in Ohio), and he swiftly bought a whole a** PLANE TICKET to come and see me. I said "well dang, I wasn't expecting an actual YES!" but calmed down after realizing that I was living with my older brother, who could absolutely defend me if Lash was a psycho in reality. Simultaneously, (I found out later) Lash's mom was warning him about the dangers of axe-murderers. [Little does he know, his mom was right. I'm just playing the long game. Mwahahaha!] So, he visited and we went to a Mets (Its all about the Mets, baby!) baseball game, had a blast and started dating the next day! (St. Patrick's Day) Our first date was at Disney World, where Lash sold me out to a fricking First Order officer, but it's okay because I got him back when I saw him lose his mind on the Slinky Dog ride. Fast forward about a year and a half, and we plan a trip to go camping up at my favorite place in the entire world (besides your arms, of course, babe ;)): Tahquamenon Falls. So that morning we are getting ready to go out to the falls, I'm putting on my swimsuit, getting ready to splash around -of freaking course- and bullying him about not having proposed to me yet. He pulls on some khakis and I'm thinking "weird choice for swimming but to each their own. Let's go!!!" We get there, and there's about 2 whole families there, and everyone is commenting how it's so much more busy than I made it out to be. I was like "my bad, bro. Our first date was at Disney World. Surely this isn't even comparable." Then he takes me out to the water's edge, right next to the falls, and PROPOSES! (He forgot initially to actually pop the question, and presented the ring in it's box to me upside down, but THAT'S MY MAN!!!) You'd better believe I said YES (through a flood of happy tears and giggles)! And the rest is history! I'm so excited to get married to the love of my life, and all of eternity beyond! I love you, my sunshine (and you still owe me a swim in the falls ;))
