Valea Verde Retreat
We know that traveling to Transylvania is a significant journey, and we are so grateful to everyone making the trip to celebrate with us. To help make things easier, we will be covering accommodations at Valea Verde for all guests on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, which include the core wedding celebrations. For guests traveling from abroad, we will also be covering Monday night, as international travel often requires an earlier arrival. Guests who wish to arrive earlier or stay beyond these dates are welcome to book additional nights directly with the venue. More details on room options and booking will be shared soon.

Budapest (BUD)
Many international guests are choosing to fly in and out of Budapest, where we'll be spending a couple of days together before and after the wedding. Joining us in Budapest is completely optional, but we'd love to see anyone who is able to spend some extra time with us before or after the celebration.

Travel Between Budapest & Romania
UPDATE: THE AIRLINE HAS CANCELLED THIS FLIGHT. WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING INTO ALTERNATIVE METHODS OF TRAVEL For guests traveling from Budapest to the wedding, the easiest and most convenient option is the short flight to Târgu Mureș. Suggested Flights (Wizz Air) ✈️ Monday, August 24 Budapest → Târgu Mureș Departure: 11:25 AM ✈️ Friday, August 28 Târgu Mureș → Budapest Departure: 6:30 PM These flights are currently around $100 USD round trip, which is quite reasonable considering the alternative is an approximately 11-hour train journey. The train route is scenic and beautiful, but it makes for a very long travel day. Important: There is currently only one direct flight per day on this route. Because seating is limited, we strongly encourage everyone planning to attend to book as soon as possible. Once those seats are gone, the remaining options may involve lengthy train travel or more complicated flight connections.

Cluj (CLJ), Sibiu (SBZ) or Targu Mures (TGM)
Guests may also choose to fly into Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, or Targu Mures. Cluj-Napoca is approximately 125 km (2 hours) from the venue by car, while Sibiu is approximately 95 km (1.5–2 hours) and Targu Mures is 35 km (.5 hours) away. Rental cars are available at all of the airports. Group transportation to the venue may also be arranged for larger groups traveling together. If this applies to you, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help coordinate.

Money & Connectivity
Currency: Romania uses the Romanian Leu (RON). Credit cards are widely accepted, but it’s helpful to have some cash on hand - especially if you’re planning to explore Sighișoara, where small shops and cafés may prefer cash. Phones & Data: European guests can usually use EU roaming. International travelers may want to use an eSIM or local SIM for data. We’ll share a recommended eSIM option closer to the date. Wi-Fi: Each room at Valea Verde has its own Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi is also available throughout the venue.

Valea Verde’s countryside in late August stays comfortably warm during the day, with cooler evenings - bring a light layer for outdoor dinners and late nights. Daytime: Expect pleasant daytime temperatures around 71–81°F (22–27°C). Evenings & Nights: Evenings are cooler, especially in the countryside - typically: 50–59°F (10–15°C). Rain: August is relatively dry, though brief afternoon or evening thunderstorms can occasionally occur.
