Just 20 minutes from the venue & 40 minutes west of Boise lies the breathtaking heart of Idaho Wine Country along the Sunnyslope Wine Trail in Caldwell. With rolling hills, sweeping views of the Owyhee Mountains, and a collection of scenic estate tasting rooms, it makes for the perfect day trip for wedding guests looking to sip, relax, and take in the countryside. A few of our favorites include: Koenig Winery & Koenig Distillery, St. Chapelle Winery, & Scoria Vineyards
Walk along the Boise River Greenbelt. This scenic, 25-mile paved path winds right through the heart of the city, offering a lush escape perfect for a leisurely stroll or a bike ride. There are multiple access points along the path with river access. My personal favorite access point is located behind the Zero-Six coffee parking lot. The Greenbelt serves as a "brewery and winery highway." Hop off the path to visit riverside favorites like Payette Brewing Company for a spacious beer garden experience, or Telaya Wine Co. for a glass of Idaho wine with a direct view of the river.
Explore the vibrant 8th Street pedestrian zone, filled with local boutiques, outdoor dining, breweries, the capital building, and the famous Freak Alley Gallery—the Northwest's largest open-air graffiti gallery.
The hike to the top of Table Rock offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Treasure Valley and the downtown skyline. It is a 3.7-mile round-trip hike that is moderately challenging with a steady incline, leading you to the iconic 60-foot illuminated cross at the summit.
Often called the "Niagara of the West," Shoshone Falls is a breathtaking natural waterfall that actually stands taller than Niagara Falls at an impressive 212 feet high. Located in Twin Falls, about a 1.5-hour drive southeast of Boise, it makes for an unforgettable road trip through Idaho’s dramatic high-desert canyon landscape.
Escape into the mountains with a day trip to McCall, a picturesque town nestled on the shores of glacial Payette Lake. Located about a 2.5-hour drive north of Boise, the journey along the Payette River Scenic Byway (Highway 55) is an attraction in itself, winding through dramatic river canyons and alpine forests. Stroll downtown, rent paddle boards or kayaks & paddle the inlet, grab a craft beer on the river-view patio at Salmon River Brewery, or soak in the many hot springs located throughout the drive up. (Kirkham Hot Springs/Gold Fork Hot Springs)
No trip to Boise is complete without a stop at Albertsons Stadium to see the world-famous "Blue Turf." Known affectionately as "The Blue," this iconic field was the first of its kind when it was installed in 1986. Visiting Hours: Generally open to the public Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
