Wedding Ceremony

Cocktail Attire
The ceremony will begin at 4:15 p.m. sharp. We request that all guests are seated no later than 4:00 p.m. We are providing a shuttle to and from the ceremony. Ahead of the ceremony, the shuttle will depart from The Alexandrian Hotel in Alexandria, Virginia at 3:00 pm sharp on the corner of King St and Pitt St. Following the ceremony, the shuttle will depart from the DC War Memorial to transport guests to our reception venue at Blackwall Hitch in Alexandria. Street parking for the ceremony is available but due to its location on the National Mall, parking cannot be reserved ahead of time and is often difficult to come by. Instead of driving, we would highly recommend utilizing our shuttle to and from the ceremony, or using a rideshare service like Uber/Lyft. The closest Metro stop is Smithsonian on the Blue/Orange/Silver lines about a mile's walk away from the venue, but we would generally recommend against using the Metro unless you are already familiar with DC public transit.

The evening will open with a cocktail hour, followed by a seated dinner. The venue offers live music after our reception formally ends at 9:00 p.m. Both garage and street parking are available close to Blackwall Hitch, though we would recommend utilizing the shuttle provided to transport guests from the ceremony venue to the reception. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Guests will select their meal during the event. We kindly request you inform us of any food allergies and dietary restrictions now so we can inform the restaurant ahead of time. Please note that reception is located an eight-minute walk away from The Alexandrian Hotel, where we have reserved a small room block at a preferred rate.
