Cat is Savannah’s older sister. When Lars was planning his proposal to Savannah, Cat shepherded him around all of the most scenic spots in her hometown (he ended up choosing her dad’s backyard!). Cat is a Classics professor at Cornell University and enjoys cooking, shooting hoops, and building Adirondack chairs. When they were kids, Cat and Savannah did basketball camp together and Cat won the award for scoring the most points and Savannah won the award for “best effort and attitude.” To this day, it’s a mystery which sister is more athletic!
Torsten Odland
Best Man
Torsten is Lars’s older brother. When they were younger, Lars was always desperate to interact with Torsten, even if it meant antagonizing him. Lars would look at Torsten and, whatever the activity or object, declare that it was the opposite. While eating pizza Lars would take a piece, look at Torsten and declare "this is not pizza!" or while brushing their teeth would look at Torsten and state "we are not brushing our teeth!" It never failed to make Torsten irate, and Lars takes credit for Torsten's eventual decision to get a PhD in Philosophy. Lars continues to look up to Torsten. When a man recently hit on Lars in a bar by asking him: “Do I know you from somewhere?” Lars replied, “Do you know Torsten Odland?” Torsten and Lars continue to bond as brothers by playing tennis or hitting the golf course together!
Maya Arthur
Maid of Honor
Maya and Savannah met during their freshman year at Penn in an Intro to Sociology class. They were also roommates after college, when they experienced the chaos of living in NYC at age 23, battled cockroaches, and watched a lot of Sex and the City. Maya enjoys taking long walks all over Philadelphia, playing with her cat, Rupert, writing poetry, and engaging in conversation with former leads of The Bachelor on Instagram!
Nate Lambert
Groom's Party
Nate is Savannah’s younger brother. Nate, Lars, and Savannah do bar trivia together in NYC under the team name "RuPaul's Best Trivia Race," and once they came in first place thanks to their knowledge of Zodiac signs and early 2000s pop music! Nate and Lars share a love of the Twilight saga, comic relief, and a stiff hair gel.
Amy Stidham
Maid of Honor
Amy and Savannah met while living in the same hall during their freshman year at Penn. They were both English majors and grew close when they took an early morning seminar together and would laugh about how unhinged they both looked and felt. Amy and Savannah share a love of sequins, EveryPlate meal kits, and bad YouTube videos. You can find Amy playing with her cat, Portia, arguing in court (she is a fellow lawyer!), and wandering around the Amalfi Coast of Italy (okay, this was just once on a trip with Savannah, but they had fun and ate a lot of lemons!).
Chris Dietz
Groom's Party
Chris and Lars met at Vassar. They lived together during their senior year (in an apartment with Cristian and another friend, Tyler, that they called "Casa Bazinga") and after they graduated. Chris and Lars have similar levels of impulse control. Chris has bought a Nintendo Switch and, realizing that he could not resist playing it for all hours of the day, sold it at a steep discount more times than any other person Lars knows. Although they no longer live in the same city, Chris and Lars continue to share long phone calls catching up with each other.
Andrea Ashburn
Bridal Party
Andrea and Savannah became friends during their first year of law school when they realized that they had grown up an hour apart in Virginia and that they had to teach themselves the entirety of Civil Procedure during the week before final exams. They lived together for two years with their two cats, and their friendship grew closer when their apartment ceiling collapsed and they spent weeks cleaning up debris together! Savannah and Andrea share a love of Halloween, reality tv, and making mediocre art. A fun fact about Andrea is that they were in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
Cristian Uriostegui
Groom's Party
Cristian and Lars met at Vassar. They lived together during their junior year, their senior year (with Chris), and after they graduated. Cristian is Lars's funniest friend. Cristian and Lars once went to the Russian Tea Room and, after ordering drinks, realized just how expensive a restaurant it was. They ate the complimentary bread and promptly left to go eat at Five Guys.
Carissa Redfield
Bridal Party
Carissa and Savannah became friends at Penn, where they were roommates and bonded over a love of comedy, knitting, and early-2000s throwback pop songs. She now lives in New Jersey with her husband, Andrew and their three cat sons (Carissa inspired Savannah to get her own cat, Winnie!). You can find Carissa tending to her garden and bird feeder, baking bread, and hosting thrilling murder mystery parties!
Will Plews-Ogan

Will and Lars met at Columbia and are now both high-powered, intimidating lawyers. (In all seriousness, Will is one of the kindest, most down-to-earth lawyers you will ever meet and Lars and Savannah feel lucky to count him as a friend.) Lars and Will share a passion for Carseat Headrest, the outdoors and being really fun and interesting people. Lars had a great time diligently studying an Indian dance routine for Will's wedding, and he is eager to see what dance moves Will has planned for his wedding (expectations are high!)
Rennie Harrison
Bridal Party
Rennie is Savannah's best friend from high school, where they lived together for three years and bonded over a love of Tracy Chapman, Halloween candy, and experimenting with edgy hairstyles. Their sophomore year of high school, they auditioned together for a student music assembly with a very earnest rendition of "Travelin' Soldier" by the Chicks. They did not make the cut, and 12 years later, they somehow manage to carry on with their lives despite the lasting sting of that rejection (Rennie and Savannah might reprise their duet at the wedding -- TBD.). Rennie lives in beautiful Takoma Park, MD and has hiked 1600 miles of the Appalachian Trail!
Pavel Rozman
Groom's Party
Pavel and Lars met in an eighth grade math class and have been friends ever since. In high school, Pavel and Lars (and some other high school friends) would organize dance parties in Lars's living room, a tradition started by Torsten. The rules of the parties were strict: no alcohol and everyone must dance, no loitering on the periphery of the room. Lars's mom would provide crudité.

Emily met Savannah through a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream with the Underground Shakespeare Company at Penn, in which Emily was the stage manager and Savannah played Helena. Emily and Savannah became friends when they realized that they are both fun and hilarious women! They share a passion for finding something to laugh about in almost any situation (just ask them about their stay at the Chocolate Inn in Hershey, PA featuring a 6am continental breakfast and a mysterious hotel guest with a very loud dog). Emily is a nurse and is one of the most caring people you will ever meet!

Cuba is Savannah’s niece. She loves playing with her uncle Lars and aunt Savannah at the beach every summer!

Amayra is Savannah’s niece. She had an ocean-themed birthday party last year and Amayra, Cuba and Savannah each have the same stuffed animal octopus!
