Low-Key Welcome Event

Many of us will just be getting into town today, and we would love to welcome you - but in a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. Join us in the Cliff House for light snacks, drinks, and socializing. There is very little cell service on site, so if you need help finding The Cliff House, just ask the attendant at the front desk located in the gift shop. **If you arrive early and/or are extra hungry** The Ragged Point Inn venue has an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, and gourmet convenience store. Attire: Comfortable and Casual

Local Hiking

So, you made it all the way out here a day early... now what? To really understand and appreciate the beauty of the surrounding landscape, hiking/walking is the best way to do it!
For those who want to stay close and have sure footing - Ragged Point Cliffside Trail A steep (somewhat strenuous) 0.6-mile trail to a black sand beach. The trail, located on the edge of the Ragged Point property, provides great views of the 300-foot Black Swift Falls for much of the year, though it may be only a trickle in June. The footing is a bit treacherous, so know your limits. Good hiking shoes are definitely recommended. For those who want to go a little bit longer - Big Sur Ranch Just across Highway 1, on National Forest Land, you can access a series of trails through the backcountry. The trail leads gradually up the top of the hill and you can go up and in, about as far as you like. Hiking boots, water, a good hat, and sunscreen are recommended. Other Somewhat Local Trails Salmon Creek Fall (4 miles North), Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park (50 miles North), and endless possibilities between the two... Wine Tasting

The Central Coast is known for its vineyards, so let's not miss the chance to explore and taste in person! A few of us will be heading to wine taste at one of the area's local tasting rooms (or maybe staying at Ragged Point since they already have all the local wines?!?) to relax and enjoy each other's company. The bride will probably end up doing this after a quick morning jaunt down to the black beach to soak up some ocean air :) Attire: Brunch-y $28 per tasting | Tasting fee waived with 2 bottle purchase Food truck on site and deli next door for lunch options **Please taste and drive responsibly**
After-Rehearsal Welcome Party
8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Just a quick moment to hang out and relax with everyone before the big day. We will have light snacks and drinks, but nothing crazy... saving that for tomorrow! We would like to make sure we get all the beauty rest we need before the big day, so we will be winding down by 10pm. Attire: Comfortable Cocktail (no need for a ballgown or tux, but no hoodies either. Nice jeans are ok)

Group Photos with the Groom

Come dressed in your wedding ensemble
We still haven't seen each other all dressed up, but we wanted to have an opportunity to take photos with each and every one of you before being overwhelmed by the ceremony and reception. Each of our wedding parties will be having their own little photoshoot, so if you'd like to join the groom for individual and/or group photos, meet in the trees at The Point dressed in your wedding ensemble. Stick around if you'd like photos with the bride... she'll be there as soon as Ken is out of sight! Attire: (Recommended) what you are wearing to the wedding
Group Photos with the Bride

Come dressed in your wedding ensemble - remember we will be on grass and dirt, so select your footwear thoughtfully!

Wedding Party Photos

Now that we've seen each other and pledged to spend the rest of our lives loving one another, we are finally ready to take our photos together. Wipe up those mascara tears and stay with us at the pagoda for our wedding party photoshoot. We'll head to the reception for drinks and celebration directly afterwards. Attire: (recommended) what you wore to the wedding ceremony

Get ready to shake your tail feathers! We will have dinner, wine, specialty cocktails, speeches, and dancing. (The cake comes later at the after party!) Attire: (Recommended) what you wore to the wedding ceremony
