FAQ

The Wedding Website of Ariel Walters and Larry Ford
This FAQ is for our guests who are coming to Jamaica. If you have any other questions about booking, please contact Liberty Travel at Br1006@libertytravel.com
Question

What do I need to do prior to travel?

Answer

You will need to: - get a COVID test 3 days before arrival & departure. - fill out a travel authorization form approx. 1 week before trip (see links in 'Travel'). -print forms & test results for airport check-in, or show them on your phone. -make sure to tell your bank where you're going so that they don't turn off your cards! If you booked through Liberty Travel and requested transportation, please make sure to confirm your flight schedules with them. Otherwise, they won't know when to send your ride!

Question

What types of COVID tests will be accepted?

Answer

Any PCR (oral or nasal) or antigen (nasal ONLY) test will be accepted, including CVS rapid tests, which are antigen. More info here: https://www.visitjamaica.com/travelauthorization/test-req/

Question

Who needs to get COVID tested? When? Where? Why? How?

Answer

WHO: Anyone over 12 needs to get tested going to Jamaica; anyone over 2 has to get tested going back to the U.S. WHEN: 72 hours before your flight (arrange for your test going home at the resort). WHERE: We recommend CVS for PCR and/or antigen testing (schedule here: https://www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-19-testing/covid-assessment). You can arrange your test to fly home at the resort. WHY: Just thought it would be fun, you know? HOW: PCR (oral or nasal) or antigen/rapid (nasal ONLY).

Question

What should the COVID test results show?

Answer

Ideally, the test result sheet should display the following information: Name of individual tested (must be same on application and lab test result) Date of birth of individual tested (must be same on application and lab test result) Name of testing laboratory Indication of laboratory credentials (CLIA, ISO 15189) Date of sample collection Type of test Type of sample Test result

Question

What's included with "all-inclusive"?

Answer

Breakfast and lunch in one of the 3 buffet style restaurants. Dinner in the buffet or in one of the 5 specialty restaurants. Unlimited snacks 24 hours at the Beach Bar or the Sports Bar. Unlimited local and international drinks with or without alcohol served in the 13 bars of the complex. Towels and chairs for beach and the 5 swimming pools. Watersports at the beach. For room service: Too hungover to leave the room? Been there, done that. Room service is offered 24/7, although there is an extra $10 per room charge for room service.

Question

How much cash should I bring?

Answer

Suggested: $200-500, mostly $1s and $5s. GP is all-inclusive which means food & drinks (+alcohol) are included in the price of your stay, but the cash comes in handy for excursions, tips, etc.

Question

How much should I tip?

Answer

Suggested: $1 every time you go to the bar or request service and $5/day for housekeeping.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

With 4 beaches and 5 pools, be sure to pack a bathing suit and sunscreen! Breakfast and lunch are casual at the resort, but all bathing suits must be accompanied by a cover-up. For Dinner: For gentlemen, shirts or T-shirts with sleeves and long pants or formal Bermuda shorts are required in all a la carte restaurants. For ladies, sun dresses, capris, and similar attire are suggested.

Question

Are masks required?

Answer

As with most places nowadays, the resort asks that you wear a mask when you're in public places such as in restaurants, the lobby, etc. They are slightly more lenient during the wedding though!

Question

What's there to do at Grand Palladium?

Answer

All kinds of things! Check out the 'Travel' page for ideas. We also recommend downloading the Grand Palladium app for info on entertainment, restaurant & spa reservations, etc. For Apple: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/grand-palladium-hotels-resorts/id520047102 For Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=palladium.app

Question

What is the weather like in Jamaica in November?

Answer

The average high is 85 degrees with a low of 76 degrees and 100% humidity.

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

No wedding dress code, per se...but no banana hammocks or tuxedo t-shirts! Shoes are a must, but wear whatever type you like (loafers, flip flops, etc.).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes. It's only fair since Larry's going (jk).

Question

Okay but the most important question is: Do you have a playlist to get us hyped for Jamaica?

Answer

Of course we do! We're not barbarians, you know. We like to get our jam on when we're not stressing about wedding planning or COVID! Check out the Sendoff Party page for the link. :)
