Although we adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration (no children or teens). Thank you for understanding and we can’t wait to celebrate together!
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests named on the invitation. Plus ones are included only if specifically listed.
Turkey remains one of the most visited countries in the world. In 2025, Turkey welcomed over 55 million international visitors, continuing its steady growth as a global tourism hub. Our wedding will take place in Marmaris, located along the country’s southwest Mediterranean coast. Marmaris is part of Muğla Province (which includes other major destinations like Bodrum and Fethiye) and the region collectively attracts several million international visitors annually, with Marmaris itself receiving hundreds of thousands to over one million visitors each year, especially during peak summer months. As with any destination, standard travel awareness is recommended, but Marmaris is a long-standing and widely visited tourist destination.
Spend the day by the beach swimming, tanning, and enjoying lunch by the sea. In the late afternoon, head back to your hotel or Airbnb to rest and get ready, then make your way to the Marina or Old Town for dinner, drinks, and nightlife. Alternatively, you can choose to join a boat tour (private or shared) to explore nearby coves, or relax with a traditional Turkish bath for a truly local experience.
Marmaris is a popular Mediterranean resort town that welcomes hundreds of thousands of international visitors each year, especially from Europe, the UK, and North America. During peak season, the local population grows several times over thanks to tourism. Marmaris is also a regular stop on Eastern Mediterranean cruise itineraries, including ships from Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean. Known for its turquoise waters, marina, beaches, boat tours, dining, and nightlife, Marmaris offers the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure, making it an ideal place to turn the wedding trip into a vacation!
Yes. Marmaris is considered a very safe destination, especially in tourist areas. When compared to cities many guests are familiar with: • San Luis Obispo: Marmaris feels similarly calm and relaxed, particularly in resort and beachfront areas. • Los Angeles and San Francisco: Marmaris generally experiences significantly lower rates of violent crime and far fewer safety concerns for visitors. Like anywhere in the world, basic travel awareness is recommended, but overall Marmaris is widely regarded as a safe, welcoming, and tourist-friendly destination where visitors feel comfortable walking around, dining out, and exploring day and night.
We are incredibly grateful that you are traveling across the world to celebrate our love, attend our wedding, and enjoy a special vacation with your plus one or family. The fact that so many of you are making the journey to be with us in Marmaris truly means more to us than words can express, and we feel so deeply loved and supported by each of you. We are so excited to celebrate with everyone joining us in Marmaris and to share this meaningful time together. We plan to spend the two days leading up to our wedding at the hotel with our wedding group—enjoying the beach, delicious meals, and time together—and we would absolutely love to see and spend time with you then. With nearly 100 guests, a limited amount of time, and wedding preparations taking place, our time will naturally be shared across group settings and planned events, and we may not be able to spend extended one-on-one time with each individual guest. That said, many of you will be traveling with a plus one or know others through us, and we’re confident there will be plenty of fun group moments, shared experiences, and opportunities for everyone to connect. We hope you’ll enjoy soaking up the beauty of Marmaris, relaxing, exploring, and making special memories of your own while you’re there. We cannot wait to come together for our wedding celebration, spend the night dancing, laughing, and celebrating our love, and create unforgettable memories with all of you. Thank you for being such an important part of this season of our lives—we truly cannot wait to celebrate with you 🤍
Guests should fly into Dalaman Airport (DLM). Most international flights connect through Istanbul
We recommend arriving at least one day early to relax after traveling and enjoy the area.
We recommend staying at Orka Lotus Beach to take advantage of our special all-inclusive discounted rate. However, if you choose to stay elsewhere, we suggest booking a hotel along the Marmaris beachfront for easy access to dining, nightlife, and transportation. There plenty of hotels and resorts in the area, so you’ll have plenty of options to choose from!
Both are great options. Hotels offer convenience, while Airbnbs are perfect for groups or longer stays. Marmaris hotels are also known for their all-inclusive packages, which can be a great option if you’re looking for a relaxed, resort-style experience.
You won’t need a car if you plan on staying locally in Marmaris. Most areas are walkable, and transportation from your hotel or Airbnb to downtown and the beaches is very easily accessible by taxi. Traditional taxis are readily available throughout town and are the easiest way to get from place to place. You can flag one down on the street or ask your hotel or beach club to call one for you. You’ll also find plenty of taxi stands throughout the town, making it simple to get a ride whenever needed. Some guests also use local taxi-booking apps like BiTaksi, which allow you to request a nearby taxi directly from your smartphone.
There will be plenty of food for guests to enjoy. Along with dinner, each table will have rakı and wine. Complimentary beer and wine will also be available throughout the evening. All other beverages will be available for purchase.
Yes! One special tradition you may see is the traditional Takı Ceremony, which takes place during the wedding celebration. During this moment, guests are welcome to pin gold or give a monetary gift to the couple as a symbol of love and well wishes. These gifts are traditionally placed on a ribbon worn around the bride’s and groom’s necks. Turkish guests will participate in this tradition, while for U.S. guests it is optional. Your presence with us truly mean the most!
Yes. English is widely spoken in Marmaris, especially in hotels, restaurants, shops, tour companies, and other tourist areas. While some local residents may not speak English, many people working in hospitality speak excellent English and are very accustomed to international visitors. Getting around, ordering food, booking activities, and asking for help is easy. You may also hear other languages like German, Dutch, and Russian, but English is commonly understood and spoken.
Our ceremony will move indoors.
