Brentwood Country Mart
Brentwood Country Mart is a 5ish minute drive from the Luxe Hotel and has a charming mix of shops and restaurants. We recommend grabbing a bite at Farmshop, browsing books at DIESEL bookstore, checking out the goop store (obviously recommended by Lara), or just grabbing a coffee and walking around. Avi insists a visit here is not complete without spotting a celebrity and ice cream at Sweet Rose creamery.
The Getty
If museums are your thing, in our opinion, this is one of best in the country! If you're staying at the Luxe, it's right next to the Getty and free shuttles are provided.
Franklin Canyon Trail
If you're looking to get a sweat in, go for a hike! The views in LA from most hikes are incredible. Some of our best pastimes are still closed from burn scar :( but we've discovered a whole new frontier of favorites. We love the Franklin Canyon Reservoir trail. Get some great views, see the turtles, and a workout in this easy 2 mile hike. This hike is only a 15 mins from the Luxe Hotel.
Santa Monica Beach
Depending on winter weather, go to the beach! We recommend taking a walk along the boardwalk or Palisades park (if you're not a sand person like Lara). You can post up just south of the pier and try acroyoga or give your best shot at muscle beach. Only a 15 minute drive from the Luxe.
UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden
This is a little slice of heaven smack in the middle of Westwood's UCLA campus. Go meditate among the flowers (it's the only way to come to terms with the LA traffic). Only 5 minutes from the Luxe Hotel
