Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal/wedding casual attire is great! Our reception will be in a barn, so khaki slacks or a sundress is perfect. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes for walking and dancing.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will include everyone invited on the front of the card. All invited family members will also be listed on the RSVP page. If your invitation includes a plus-one, you will see "guest" listed in these spaces.

Are kids welcome?

We love kids! Unfortunately, space is limited, so only those listed on the wedding invitation are invited.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Everything in Montreat is within walking distance! If your lodging is in Montreat, you will be able to easily walk the beautiful stone paths under rhododendron and mountain laurel. If your lodging is in Black Mountain or Asheville, we recommend Uber/Lyft to get you here. Parking in Montreat is extremely limited. The ceremony and reception venues are a quick 0.1 mile walk apart.

Montreat is so special! We suggest a private rental home in Montreat for the best experience, check out www.greybeardrentals.com. For those who prefer more established hotel chains, many are available in Black Mountain or Asheville which are 15-30 minutes away from the venues. For more formal housing reservations in the town of Montreat, including the rustic Assembly Inn, check out https://montreat.org/accommodations. AirBnB & VRBO also offer options.
