Gene Leahy Mall Park & Riverfront
State of the art park in the heart of Downtown Omaha! Only a 15 minute walk from the Church! You won't be disappointed. But be warned, it's big. The picture at the top is this park. Fun fact, the skyscraper they are building next to the park by the food trucks will be John's new office!
KANEKO Art Gallery
Jun Kaneko is a world-renowned Japanese ceramicist living right here in Omaha. KANEKO is a free art museum showcasing his work and touring artist exhibits. 6 minute drive from the Church, 22 minute walk. Kaneko is one of Rochelle's favorite living artists.
Joslyn Art Museum
This FREE art museum was rated as USA Today’s Best Art Museum in 2025! It just re-opened after a major renovation. 7 minute walk from the Church but does close at 4:00 pm on Saturday. Has free on-site parking.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium
Rated #1 Best Zoo in the Nation and holds the Desert Dome, the world’s largest indoor desert. The zoo is 160 acres- it’s huge! John and Rochelle’s favorite exhibits are Kingdoms of the Night (inside the Desert Dome), Lied Jungle, and feeding the koi fish over the lagoon.
