For Women: Dresses: A floor-length gown is a timeless choice, but a sophisticated cocktail dress or a chic midi can work just as well if it feels formal. Fabrics like satin, silk, or crepe add that touch of elegance, and rich colors like emerald, navy, or burgundy would suit the season beautifully. Shoes: Given the outdoor setting, consider a pair of block heels, a low wedge, or even dressy flats to avoid sinking into the ground. If you’d like a bit more height, a platform heel could offer stability without compromising style. Layers: Since March can be chilly, think about a tailored wrap, capelet, or a sleek blazer to add warmth without sacrificing style. A light trench or cropped jacket would also look polished if the weather’s cooler than expected. Accessories: Simple, polished jewelry complements a formal look without taking over. A metallic or beaded clutch adds a refined touch to finish things off. For Men: Suiting: A dark suit in navy, charcoal, or classic black feels right for black-tie optional. Pair it with a white dress shirt and either a silk tie or a bow tie for a polished touch. Shoes: Think classic dress shoes, like oxfords or loafers, in black or deep brown. If the ground is damp, a weather-resistant sole might be worth considering for added traction. Outerwear: A trench coat or a wool overcoat will keep you warm and look great over a suit. Adding a simple scarf can also be a stylish way to stay cozy if temperatures dip. For Everyone: With March’s unpredictable weather, having a compact umbrella or a warm shawl on hand could be a lifesaver. For colors, consider deep or neutral tones that feel seasonally appropriate, rather than bright or summery shades.
We recommend arriving at the venue between 4:30 PM and 4:45 PM to give yourself time to comfortably make your way to the ceremony. There’s a short walk from the parking lot to the ceremony site—around 5 to 10 minutes. Most of the path is paved, though the last few hundred yards will take you through a grassy area, so you may want to choose footwear accordingly. We’re looking forward to celebrating with you!
