Kimberly began attending Binghamton University in January 2010, where she met her roommate and best friend Meghan, who had been attending since the fall semester. Meghan already had a great group of friends that Kimberly got to be a part of, one of which was Christopher’s older brother John. Later that year Christopher decided to follow in John's footsteps and attend Binghamton. He like Kimberly was able to adopt an already curated friend group which at this point now included Kimberly. Christopher and Kimberly enjoyed spending time with their large group of friends and attended many a college party together many of which were hosted at Christopher, John, and their other guy friend's home in Binghamton. These parties are where Chris curated the many versions of the now infamous to our college squad "Pizzo Punch." With varietals such as Chris Pizzo's Love Potion No. 9, Chris Pizzo's Get Up and Go Punch, Chris Pizzo's Shamrock Punch (which Chris fondly remembers Kim taking one look at and immediately uttering "Chris Pizzo this is not okay" [due to its almost black color], and other well loved and well named versions. Stay tuned and maybe you'll find a Pizzo Punch varietal at a wedding bar near you.

Kimberly and Christopher have always been a part of a large group of college friends. On Labor Day in 2016 one of their mutual friends decided to host a large get together of all their friends. Kim had just graduated law school, finished a summer of studying, taking the NY Bar Exam, and was ready to get back to socializing with friends. Chris arrived at the event a bit later after work in NYC as an accountant. At the event while talking with Chris and their other friends, Kim told everyone that a few days later she was flying to the headquarters of the company she had been interning for the last year and a half for a job interview...in Omaha, Nebraska. Kim and Chris enjoyed catching up as they always did at these get togethers. Later on at the event, Kim got up the (liquid) courage to ask Chris if he wanted to hang out with her the following Friday after she got back from Nebraska. Chris said yes to her surprise and they went their separate ways after the event with plans to see one another soon. A few days later Kim flew to Nebraska for her trip and GOT THE JOB! She quickly toured downtown Omaha viewing model apartments, after all she thought she may be moving here and was only in town a few hours. Once Kimberly got on the plane back to NY she texted Chris to see if he 1) remembered that he had agreed to hang out with her and 2) still wanted to, she sent the text and quickly switched her phone to airplane mode. After she landed she took a deep breath for landing safely and knowing she had to look at her phone. She switched it on and Chris had said yes to hanging out together that Friday! Kim and Chris had been friends for a long time, but had never hung out alone and both were very nervous when that Friday rolled around. Despite their nerves they had a great time, Kim decided to take a chance on finding a job locally and didn't move to Nebraska. Kim and Chris spent a portion of almost every weekend together ever since.

Christopher had just come home to NYC after a week away with his family. Kimberly and Christopher were going to spend the day celebrating their five year anniversary (which was the day prior) and decided to spend the day doing what they love most, exploring the city they call home. They decided to grab a craft beer at a new local brewery downtown and visit the South Street Seaport. They had a dinner reservation for their anniversary and were enjoying some wine and listening to music at home before they left for dinner. Kimberly and Christopher occasionally like to dance together in their living room "in the sky" when they listen to music and spend time together, so just like they had done many times before they swayed together to Russell Dickerson and just enjoyed being together. Kimberly went to put on her shoes for dinner and they resumed their dancing, as the next song played Christopher paused the music, got down on one knee, and asked Kimberly to marry him. She said YES! After Kimberly stopped crying, they ran out the door to the dinner reservation they were a little late for (for good reason) to celebrate!
