Sarah was my roommate all throughout college in VA and our story is one for the books. Myself, coming from a pretty non-diverse, small town, and Sarah coming from Dubai, where tall blonde white girls are not very common, we had no idea what to expect out of this dynamic! Both of us nervous of what this new chapter would hold, we quickly realized our similar quirks and how humorous our stereotypes of each-other were. After a few weeks of small talk here and there, one night the switch just flipped and we never went back. Attached at the hip for good and able to laugh about our initial assumptions as well as at God's sense of humor in placing us together. I am forever grateful that God gave me this amazing, Jesus loving, beautiful friend, as he knew exactly what I needed and I genuinely cannot imagine anyone more perfect to be by my side on this day.

Alex is Lander's older sister and when I look back, I think of a moment that we all shared very early on that was very foreshadowing. My first time meeting his two sisters Alex and Waverly, was in 2019. Both had driven from Michigan for a fun fall weekend in PGH. I remember being SO excited to meet them, as I had never had a sister and couldn't wait to meet the "female Lander". Instantly hitting it off with the sisters, we had a wonderful day at the pumpkin patch, petting goats and getting lost in corn mazes, but the memory I love most occurred afterwards. We went to Aladin's for dinner, getting to know each other better, even discussing some very deep subjects though we were strangers in a way. We then ventured to Starbucks where the three of us shared a big group hug in the parking lot. Unlike all of us to begin with, it instantly occurred to all of us that other than Lander, we JUST met each-other. We all began to laugh, but I feel in that moment all of us had a feeling that this was something special and it was family before we ever knew we would actually grow to become sisters.
Waverly Shiff
Bridesmaid
Wave is Lander's younger sister and someone I know entered my life for a reason. I met his two sisters on the same day and feel we had an instant connection. Over the past few years, Wave and I have grown much closer and now share so many hilarious and heartfelt memories. Whether sitting on the floor for hours talking eachother through an anxious episode, or having a Twilight Sleepover where we laugh and commentate through literally the whole movie, our time together is always special and I am so thankful for her friendship and her love for Lander. I am eternally grateful that these two sisters have let me wiggle my way in and steal their brother, but something I love most about Land is his love and care for his siblings, so I will always share him with the one's he loved first!
