I had just moved to Pittsburgh from Southern Virginia, where I knew absolutely nobody. Because of this, I had the grand idea to download Tinder, but simply to meet people to show me around. I quickly matched with this guy named Landon? or Colt? or, Lander? (Took me a few weeks to figure that one out) and we hit it off immediately and exchanged snapchats, but never really spoke again. A few days later, I receive a snapchat of some guy's quads, with a caption of "brutal leg day". I had no idea who this was, but regardless, responded with "Dang, those are some Vonmoger quads"-(For those that don't know, he is a famous bodybuilder, who happened to be both of our favorites). I don't think this guy was expecting this random blonde girl to know anything about bodybuilding, so it was clear that he obviously fell in love instantly ;) I made it clear I was only looking for a friend, but was brand new up here, so jumped at the chance when he asked if I wanted some company. Unlike both of us, we spontaneously decided to meet up that very night and without realizing, we spoke until 4am. I had even broken out my guitar and played & sang worship music to this stranger, having no idea if he even knew God. We quickly became attached at the hip-the best of friends. After about a month of daily adventures, the night came where we were going to a haunted house with his friends Kevin and Kami. In line at the event, Kami began asking me about "US" and I made it clear how amazing I thought he was, but that I simply was not looking for a boyfriend, so it wasn't going anywhere. Ironically, later that night, Lander asked me to be his girlfriend, to which I responded with many forms of "no, i'm sorry"...but with less than 2 more words from him, I had convinced myself and changed my mind completely. My original response was not because I did not want a relationship with him or was not ready, it was because although it had been only one month of friendship, I knew that if I agreed that night, that would be it. I knew that with our connection and the way he so effortlessly showed God's love and his own from day one, that if I agreed, that this would be final... Now here we are and all I can say is that I knew it.. but I wouldn't have it any other way.
