Question

What precautions are being taken in light of COVID?

Answer

We require all eligible guests to be fully vaccinated prior to our wedding celebrations, and to bring a face mask the day of. That being said, we are planning for a full Desi wedding, and the capacity restrictions have been lifted in the states of Maryland and Virginia. Our ceremony and reception will be held at the same venue. Our ceremony will be outdoors, and our reception will be in an indoor ballroom with an elevated ceiling.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We ask that all guests RSVP by July 31st, 2021. For your convenience, you will be able to confirm your attendance online. Simply click the RSVP tab at the top of this page. Don't forget to select your meal choice! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no", so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the walima (wedding reception) is formal. Please come in suits and elegant attire for a luxe, romantic evening together. For those attending the Mehendi, the theme is desi attire in vibrant shades of pink, purple and orange.

Question

Can I bring a guest (or two)?

Answer

No, our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 6:00 PM. We suggest you arrive at 5:30 PM for the ceremony so you can comfortably park, find a seat and settle in. Mocktail hour begins at 6:30 PM and dinner will be served by 8:30 PM.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Absolutely! That being said, we are having an "unplugged" ceremony, which just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? Well, we've hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone/device blocking that moment for them to capture. Other than the ceremony, yes, photos are absolutely encouraged and welcome! We are counting on you to help capture this milestone. When sharing, please don't forget to use the hashtag: #LalaGotHerHottman

Question

I have a food allergy - can I make a special request?

Answer

Please do! There is a place to do this when you RSVP through this website (see the RSVP tab above). We will do our best to work with our caterer to accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free diets with advanced notice.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, we are registered on Zola (see the Registry tab above).
