What is the Dress Code for the Wedding?

Answer

We are kindly requesting all guests wear black attire to help create a timeless and elegant atmosphere for our special day. Formal black dresses, suits, or tuxedos are preferred. That being said, we love a good personal touch—so if you’re feeling bold, feel free to break out your How I Met Your Mother ducky tie (or any fun accessory) for the reception. Let’s keep it classy, then get a little quirky on the dance floor! Thank you for celebrating with us in style!

What Time Should I Arrive to the Wedding?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 4:30 pm. We request guests arrive by 4:00 pm to allow for time to park, find a seat, and get settled before the proceedings. Thank you for being part of this special moment with us!

Will the Wedding be Held Indoors or Outdoors?

Answer

Both! Please keep in mind the ceremony and cocktail hour will —weather permitting— be held outdoors overlooking the water. We recommend bringing a jacket and dressing for the elements. Block heels, wedges, or flats are great options as the ground may be soft. We'll have everything to set to keep you comfortable. Outdoor heaters will be available, and blankets will be provided as needed. The wedding reception will be held inside the heated and tented Chalet Terrace.

Can I take Photos and Videos During the Ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that our ceremony stays unplugged with phones and cameras being put away. We have hired an amazing photographer and videographer to capture our special day! We can't wait to take photos with you during the reception!

Am I Allowed to Bring a Guest?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a guest, their name or “and Guest” will appear on the envelope. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep our celebration intimate and meaningful!

Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, to allow all guests to relax and enjoy the evening, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We kindly ask that children not attend unless specifically included on your invitation. Thank you so much for understanding. We hope you'll take this opportunity to enjoy a special date night out!

Should I Rsvp Online or by Mail?

Answer

Whichever is most convenient for you! You can RSVP in one of two ways. 1. Online: Simply click the RSVP tab on our website and follow the prompts. 2. By Mail: If you received a physical RSVP card, feel free to fill it out and return it using the envelope provided. Please kindly RSVP by September 1, 2025, so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

What if I have any Food Allergies or Restrictions?

Answer

We want all of our guests to enjoy the meal, so if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please be sure to let us know when you RSVP. There will be a space on the RSVP card and online form to include this information. We'll do our best to accommodate your needs!

Will Transportation be Provided? Is there Parking?

Answer

We will be providing shuttle transportation to and from the venue for your convenience. Shuttles will depart from Perrotti Park at 3:45PM and return guests after the reception. Castle Hill Inn offers on-site valet parking for all wedding guests, so you’re welcome to arrive by car if that’s easier for you. Whether you ride or drive, we can’t wait to see you there!

Where Should I Stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in downtown Newport, where you’ll find a variety of hotel or airbnb options, restaurants, and things to do—all within walking distance. We’ll be providing shuttle transportation to and from the venue, with pick-up and drop-off at Perrotti Park—a central location that is within walking distance or a quick Uber ride from most other downtown hotels and airbnb's. For those interested in staying on-site at Castle Hill Inn, please note that it requires a 2-night minimum stay and its rates are higher as it is a luxury property. It’s a beautiful option if you're looking to make a full weekend out of it! Whichever you choose, we’re so grateful you’ll be joining us to celebrate!

Will there be a Room Block?

Answer

We have not reserved a formal hotel block, but there are plenty of great lodging options in downtown Newport to fit a range of preferences and budgets. From boutique hotels to cozy inns and larger chains, you’ll have lots to choose from—all close to restaurants, shops, and the shuttle pickup location.
