We first met in the spring of 2017 in Honors English at San Jacinto College. At the time, we barely spoke, Zitlali talked to Juan exactly once just to ask if he was going to class. Most days, Zitlali could be found taking a nap in the back of the room, while Juan sat up front next to his friend. Little did we know, our story had already begun. That summer, we found each other again, this time on social media. What started as casual conversations about the gym quickly turned into something more, and before we knew it, Juan asked Zitlali out on a date. From there, everything just felt easy. On September 30, 2017, Juan made it official in the most unforgettable way by asking Zitlali to be his girlfriend on the Galveston Pleasure Pier, high above the water on the Ferris wheel. Eight years later, on December 7, 2025, Juan brought our story full circle. At that very same place, he asked Zitlali to spend forever with him and she said yes. Zitlali solo habló con Juan una vez para preguntarle si se iba ir a clase. La mayoría de los días, Zitlali se quedaba dormida al fondo del salón, mientras Juan se sentaba al frente junto a su amigo. Sin saberlo, nuestra historia ya había comenzado. Ese verano, nos reencontramos a través de las redes sociales. Lo que empezó como conversaciones casuales sobre el gimnasio poco a poco se convirtió en algo más, y sin pensarlo mucho, Juan invitó a Zitlali a salir. Desde ese momento, todo se sintió natural. El 30 de Septiembre de 2017, Juan lo hizo oficial de una manera inolvidable. Le pidió a Zitlali que fuera su novia en el muelle de Galveston, arriba de la rueda de la fortuna. Ocho años después, el 7 de Diciembre de 2025, Juan llevó nuestra historia al punto donde todo comenzó. En ese mismo lugar, le pidió a Zitlali que se casara con él, y ella dijo que sí. Las historias de amor más significativas no se apresuran. Crecen con suavidad, se reencuentran en el momento indicado y se desarrollan exactamente como deben ser.
