Do I need to show a negative covid test before the wedding?

Answer

No. We are not requiring covid testing. The ceremony is outside weather permitting and the reception is in a very large well ventilated barn. Please wear a mask if you are at all uncomfortable, no judgement whatsoever! We are expecting 95 people.

Is there parking at Sylvanside?

Answer

Yes, there is parking at Sylvanside. Whoever is driving the car, please drop your people off in front of the main barn and then go park your car by following the signs to the parking lot. There is a golf cart that will be used to help those that need a ride back to the ceremony area.

What if I have trouble walking on gravel or grass?

Answer

We have a golf cart that is available the entire time for guests, please wait and someone from the venue will pick you up and take you where you need to go in the golf cart.

What if I have trouble using stairs?

Answer

There is a golf cart that can drive you up the ramp to the main reception hall. Please do not hesitate to use it.

Can I ride the shuttle from Lansdowne even if I'm not staying there?

Answer

Yes. We have arranged for shuttle to go back and forth from Lansdowne resort to Sylvanside. There will only be one departure before the wedding from Sylvanside leaving at 4pm. Then there will be two shuttles departing from Sylvanside to Lansdowne. One leaving at 9pm and the other leaving at 11pm

Is parking free at Lansdowne Resort?

Answer

Yes, self parking is free at Lansdowne Resort. There is valet service for $20.

Is Uber or Lyft accessible from the wedding venue?

Answer

No, ubers and lyfts have a very hard time getting to and from Sylvanside

Where is Sylvanside Farm?

Answer

Sylvanside Farm, is in the rural part of Purcellville, VA, tucked away from it all. The drive there is beautiful Virginia horse country but very windy roads, please be careful. Is the wedding outside or inside?

Answer

The ceremony is, weather permitting, planned to be outside. The cocktail hour, is outside and inside and the reception is inside.

Will there be gluten free options at dinner?

Answer

Yes, a few of the dinner items are ok for those with gluten sensitivities but they not 100% gluten free as there is cross contamination during the cooking process. So not good for those with severe gluten allergies. These items will be designated on the menu with GF. HOWEVER, the entire wedding cake is gluten free and will be delicious so please eat cake! We had three very critical teenage cake tasters to help determine the flavors.

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire and comfortable shoes. There is a lot of grass, gravel, and cracks in the wood floors of the barn. Ladies not a time to wear your fancy stilettos or designer shoes.

Will there be sparklers?

Answer

There will not be sparklers at the end due to the reception hall being wood. However, you will be provided with optic wands that will be used in place of sparklers.

There is no "official" after party planned. We're old and need our sleep.

Is there brunch on Saturday?

Answer

Yes, at Lansdowne's restaurant called, Riverside Hearth, at 10am. Although we do not have a private room reserved, we will make reservations the day before.
