Laura and Alex originally met in Spring/Summer 2006. At the time, Laura's best friend was Alex's neighbor. They met under friendly circumstances, probably at a party or a cookout, we don't really know for sure. It wasn't until several years later when they re-connected under different circumstances and the story goes like this. One late, summer night in August 2019, Alex was wandering around a social media site, Instagram, and you know how that goes. One person you know who went to a petting zoo with some stranger, then that stranger went hot-air ballooning with some dude from Puerto Rico, then someone else who knows that guy built a go-kart with your ex-landlord, etc. etc. you get the gist. Then all of a sudden, Alex noticed Laura's page. And then Alex REALLY noticed Laura's page, especially noticed the pictures where she was wearing her bathing suit, or a cute dress, or a sassy selfie. So Alex, being the gentleman that he is, started complementing Laura in the most tasteful of ways possible by liking all those posts. When Laura awoke the next morning, she quickly noticed that she had dozens (too many dozen to really know) of the new likes on her Instagram page from the user @jalexharman. She knew, the chase was on! Later that morning, Laura decided to play it cool by "sliding into his DMs", "hey Alex, how are you, how are the kids, how's life?" They chit-chatted awhile about work, friends, family, and relationships. After enough chit-chatting, they spontaneously agreed to meet up for a drink at Ford's Fish Shack in Ashburn, VA. That was on Saturday, August 31, 2019 and it would turn out to be the first day of the rest of their lives together. The End xoxo, Laura & Alex
