Johnsons Beach
A protected natural area with expansive beaches and tons of wildlife. This is a private beach, so you must pay to enter, but crowds are limited and the serene atmosphere is worth every penny. If you frequent the coast, ask about a yearly pass and make Johnson's Beach your go-to getaway.
Gulf Shores
One of the most popular areas on the coast, Gulf Shores has everything. Miles of condos, tons of restaurants and souvenir shops, and plenty of beachside fun to be had.
Flora-Bama
A landmark of the coast, the Flora-Bama straddles the state line and entertains huge crowds during the summer months. If you're looking for cheesy, wild fun, hop on down and enjoy multiple bars, live entertainment, and beachside views. And don't forget the BushWhackers!
Downtown PCola
Pensacola is known for the beaches, but don't overlook the city itself! Downtown PCola boasts top-notch bars and restaurants, including Seville Quarter, the Tin Cow Restaurant, and O'Reilly's Irish Pub. Downtown also holds high class restaurants for a more refined feel, and loads of incredible shopping spots.
Gulf State Park
For outdoor lovers, the Gulf State Park holds endless fun. Beachside campgrounds, a nature center, watersports, hiking trails, a pier, and more are there for the enjoying. Hike the boardwalk trails and see wildlife, or fish off the pier for some of the Gulf's prime catches.
Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo
Newly relocated and expanded, the Gulf Coast Zoo is a sight to see. Spend the day with your favorite zoo animals and learn from the many educational and interactive animal shows.
