For our guests wanting to explore the city of Chicago while visiting the midwest for our wedding, we have created a google map of our favorite places! We both grew up going to the city often and absolutely love it! It's also where we got engaged! Click "view" below to see our interactive map!

Flight

O'hare International Airport

For our out-of-town guests traveling far distances, Chicago is close by! |f you are wanting to make a weekend out of it by exploring the windy city, we suggest flying into O'Hare. From there, you are close to the city and public transportation to get you downtown. You would also be able to rent a car from the airport to drive through the scenic cornfields on your way to Normal! Chicago is about a two hour drive from Bloomington-Normal. Flight

Central Illinois Regional Airport

If you prefer a more direct route of flying over the cornfields instead of driving through them, you can fly into Bloomington directly! The airport is on the west side of town, but only a 15 minute uber ride to the hotel! Keep in mind that a lot of flights will have a stop at Chicago O'Hare before making the trip down to Bloomington-Normal. Airport code BMI

There is also an option to take a 2 hour train ride from Union Station (CHI) in Chicago (around $15 a ticket) or a 3 hour train ride from Gateway Station (STL) in St. Louis (around $20 a ticket) directly to the Normal Uptown Station (BNL). The station in Normal drops you off steps away from the Marriott hotel where our reception is located in Uptown Normal. Keep in mind that prices may increase with time as the date approaches.

St. Louis is also close to Bloomington-Normal! About a three hour drive and south of the twin cities, it's also easy to get to! While Chicago will always be our favorite city, Taylor's family recently moved outside of STL and we are learning to appreciate it even more! (Although we will never be able to appreciate their sports teams ;) ) We lived in Missouri for two years and have some experience exploring the city.
