Ashley's personal favorite coffee shop in town. Not only does it have the best coffee in town, but it has some of the best pictures of Munising thought the seasons all over the walls. If you stop in, get her favorite summer drink- a mocha iced latte with two percent milk.
A pasty (pronounced PASS-TEE) is kind of like a pie surrounded in crust. It is usually eaten with gravy or ketchup. There are a few different pasty shops in town, but we prefer Muldoon's Pasties over the others.
This place has the best lunch in town! Try their chicken bacon panini, it won't disappoint.
This falls is one of our favorites. The walk to the falls takes about five minutes. The path is paved and not too hilly. If you have a little time and would like to check out one of Munising's most popular falls, we recommend you checking this one out.
Sand Point Beach is one of the prettiest beaches in Munising. The sand is soft, (the water is usually cold), and the view is phenomenal. You are able to see the whole city of Munising, Grand Island, and probably the best sunsets of your life. Even if you do not have time to stop and swim, try to drive by so you can see the sights.
Miner's beach is another beautiful beach. This beach has a rougher type of sand, the water gets deep faster than at Sand Point, and there are some rocks near one end that are very fun to jump into the water off of (just make sure you jump far enough and into deep enough water). The drive to Miners beach is a little longer and you can not see the water or beach from the road, but the view is beautiful and this beach is a great choice to go to if you have some extra time on your hands.
If you are not wanting to pay for a cruise, but are still wanting to see some of the pictured rocks, Miners Castle is where you'll want to go. The lookout will show you a rick formation that looks similar to a castle. If you have extra time, you can also take a hike from the castle to Miner's Beach. The Castle lookout is a little past the road to Miner's Beach, so again, the drive out to the lookout is a little longer but definitely worth it.
If you have time, take the pictured rocks cruise to see what Munising is known for.
