Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Derek Laffoon and Jessica Drogowski
We are so very grateful for these friends and family who are willing to represent Christ to us everyday and who are standing up with us on our day. Each of these individuals are friends who we feel will help us and challenge us to be more like Christ in our marriage, which is our dearest aim in wedding one another!

Rebekah Drogowski

Maid of Honor

Soon to be Rebekah Mason, Bekah is my sister and one of the greatest blessings in my life. A part of my life for almost as long as I can remember, she is my friend, gift-giving co-conspirator, and one of the best people I know. She is always willing to ask the tough questions in love, cuddle on the couch, and point me to God's promises! With her big smile and bigger heart, Bekah loves with all she has (a force to be reckoned with!) and I am beyond grateful to have her as my sister!

Josh Laffoon

Groomsman

Derek's older brother. three years my senior, many of my hobbies were first his as I grew up with "younger brother syndrome" He was always better than me at most of the hobbies that we shared. I started soccer in middle school because my brother played (and of course I played goalie because it was the coolest position.) He was better at goalie because he was 1000 feet tall. I played all the same video games but resigned mostly to watching him play them... He would crush me at Magic the Gathering, Josh was also always better than me at eating vegetables and saved me from many evenings stuck at the kitchen table "until I finish my entire plate". As my brother, Josh probably knows the most about me and how I would react to things.

Liz Campbell

Bridesmaid

Liz and Jessica became almost instant friends when we met in college. Bonding over deep conversations, shared hopes for our world, and genuineness, we've continued to enjoy touring art galleries, having good talks, enjoying our mutual love-language of gift giving, and wonderful friendship. Liz is such a passionate person who can always make me laugh. Liz is herself a newly wed; she and her husband Josh are having a blast with their new puppy Pavlov!

Jacob Drogowski

Groomsman

Everyone's favorite Drogowski sibling (obviously excluding the respective fiances). Jacob is one of the easiest guys to get along with. We have bonded over "The Wheel of Time" book series (which I have yet to come close to finishing). He is also the Drogowski most willing to indulge me in my board game habits. Jacob is probably one of the most level headed people I know and would be one of my first picks in asking someone whether something was an honorable action.

Aimee Klevorn

Bridesmaid

From worrying Jessica (who was attending the same college as Aimee's high school sweetheart David) would be a "homewrecker" to one of my best friends, Aimee is the kindest and compassionate person I know. She is willing to do anything for anyone, was my college roommate (after she realized I wasn't after David, who is still head over heels for her today!) and one of my biggest encouragers. I could not even begin to tell all the stories, but the conversations and laughs we have had together mean so much! She and David were married after college and have just given birth to their baby boy Jude!

David Klevorn

Groomsman

David is married to one of Jessica's best friends, Aimee, but above that is a great guy who has extended friendship to me since the first time we met. I can count on David and Aimee to pray for Jessica and I as we enter life together. They have both proven to be friends who will stick it out even through drastic life changes. It is a great blessing to have a couple who has gone before us in marriage and parenthood to offer us advice along the way. Also, apparently, we are both horrible at learning board game rules. after the first time playing Carcassonne together David calls us explaining how both Jessica and I, and he and Aimee had messed up in our initial understanding of the game's rules.

Kate Hogoboom

Bridesmaid

One of Jessica's oldest friends, Kate and I met soon after my family moved when I was in high school. Throughout college, we emailed encouragement and advice to one another; we had the chance to grow closer when I interned at a camp near the university that Kate and her husband Joe serve with His House Christian Fellowship. Over brief moments after worship gatherings, chats over coffee, and a long drive to and from Mexico, we continued to pour into each other's lives. Even after I moved out west, Kate continues to be a huge encourager, prayer partner, and friend to me. She and Joe have a son, Andrew, who is delightful and energetic!

Brian Mason

Groomsman

The one who can empathize with Derek about what it means to enter The Drogowski Family, Brian is a great guy who will be my brother-in-law. Brain has a great talent of turning "carrying chairs" into "having meaningful conversations"; this dude is super easy going and has the nicest beard of us all. One of the most caring people ever, before he was even asked to be a groomsman I think Brian was working on plans to make sure I had some kind of "bachelor party".

Jamie Deibel

Mistress of Cermonies

Jamie is Jessica's first friend from college. They met during freshman orientation, were suite mates for two years, and have made so many memories on campus and elsewhere! Jamie is an exceptional organizer who keeps it fun while keeping her cool, and I wouldn't want anyone else to take on the day-of details for us!

Jean Cahill

Ceremony Coordinator

Jessica met Jean in college, only a few hours into freshman orientation. From core group freshman fall through our campus bucket-list shenanigans graduation weekend, and so very much in between, Jean has been a true friend, one who shares knowledge, adventures, laughs, questions, and fun. With her mad detail skills and ability to keep things rolling, Jean will help make sure everyone is where they need to be and that we officially get married!
