Where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will all take place on Friday, September 29th beginning at 5:30PM at the Omni La Costa Resort in the city of Carlsbad, CA. (Please note that Carlsbad, CA is located up the coast, just North of San Diego)

What is the best airport to use?

Answer

If you are flying in for the weekend, the San Diego Airport (SAN) will be the cheapest and closest airport to use for the wedding weekend. The San Diego Airport is approximately a 30-minute drive, Uber or cab ride to the Omni La Costa Resort.

Question

Will airport transportation be provided?

Answer

At this time, we cannot guarantee that we can provide you with transportation from the airport to your hotel or the Omni La Costa Resort. (The Omni La Costa Resort does not provide an airport shuttle) If you happen to be staying at another nearby hotel, please check with that hotel about whether they provide a shuttle. We recommend taking a cab or Uber from the airport to your hotel (It's approximately a 30 minute drive to Carlsbad from the San Diego Airport - so an Uber would run around $40) We also recommend connecting with other guests (friends & family) to plan travel at similar times in order to share transportation. If you plan on exploring the area while you are visiting, it may be most cost-effective to rent a car from the airport. (If you have any further questions regarding transportation, please let us know!)

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather for late September should be sunny with temperatures ranging from 72 - 100 during the day and into the low 60's at night. The resort and the city of Carlsbad itself are located along the coast, so the ocean breezes should provide cooler temperatures during the day. Remember to pack your sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen for your daytime excursions.

What is the dress attire for the weekend, the ceremony & reception?

Answer

Most important to us is that our guests are comfortable and have a fun weekend! With this in mind, we would like you to feel free to dress casually for the weather and what outings you may have planned for the weekend such as the beach, pool, golfing, tennis etc. We will have a formal / semi-formal attire for the wedding ceremony and reception on Friday which means: For Women: A cocktail dress, long evening dress, dressy jumpsuit or a dressy skirt and top. For Men: A suit, dark or light but we suggest avoiding black OR dress pants with a button-down shirt and or blazer. (tie optional)

If you are staying at the Omni La Costa Resort—

Answer

Please know that the Resort Fee and Parking Fee have been waived. However, to lessen costs we have not included porterage charges - which just means you will need to carry your own bags to and from your room. We hope this is not an inconvenience.

Question

If you have a car and are driving to the Omni La Costa Resort for the wedding—

Answer

Free self parking will be available to you at the Omni La Costa. If anyone should ask you, please let them know you are with the Kelly/Ramos wedding.
