District Kitchen + Cocktails
This was one of our first date locations, and hands down our favorite restaurant in town. Known for excellent "New American," style cuisine, we have yet to find something on the menu that we haven't loved- food, beverage, or otherwise!
Armadillo Den
Many date nights have been spent at this local bar in our neighborhood. Known for their great batched cocktails and affordable beer selection, the Den is also known for having some incredible food trucks as well!
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema South Lamar
Nearly every Tuesday you'll find us at the flagship location of the Alamo Drafthouse watching something spooky, and what better time to go enjoy a movie like that than when you're in town for a Halloween themed wedding?! An Austin staple, you can never go wrong with the Drafthouse.
Salt Lick BBQ
A true Texas Hill Country Legend, if you're looking for more barbecue after you've had your fill at the wedding then you can't go wrong with Salt Lick out in Driftwood. We recommend ordering Thurman's Choice, you'll get a taste of the best that Texas has to offer!
Valentina's Tex Mex BBQ
If you're in south Austin and catch a whiff of mesquite smoke, there's no doubt that your senses will lead you to Valentina's BBQ. Featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives," as well as several other food and travel shows, this place is well worth the line out front. We enjoy stopping by on weekends and snagging tacos from here pretty frequently!
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at The University of Texas at Austin is the state botanical garden and arboretum of Texas. The center features more than 900 species of native Texas plants in both garden and natural settings and is home to a breadth of educational programs and events making it a great spot to unwind on a beautiful sunny day.
