Note: The annual Festival of Lights at Tanglewood Park will create a high volume of traffic around Winmock at Kinderton. When leaving Winmock at the end of the evening, we suggest you turn right onto Hwy 158 and follow the signs to I 40 and NC 801 to avoid traffic.

Our Story

We initially met in the fall of 2014 at Guilford College. At the time, Courtney was a freshman on the softball team, while Logan was a sophomore on the baseball team. Our first course together was Intro to Biology. We didn't interact much, with Courtney focused on surviving her first semester of college and making straight A’s, while Logan focused on how he could bribe the professor into getting an A (this is real – Logan gave our professor a Guilford baseball hat to get him a better grade!). We crossed paths a couple times per week for class and around campus, but each of us had separate interests and did our own things. Fast forward to the spring of 2016. Given the smaller nature of Guilford, it was not uncommon to share many classes together, especially within the Sports Studies department. Courtney and her roommate, Haley, always did homework and studied together. Many times, when we had an upcoming exam, Logan would text Haley asking to meet up and study. After a few weeks of studying together, Logan started texting Courtney (with a little push from Haley) asking to hang out more often. Courtney decided to be nice and entertain this idea. We went on our first “date” to Zaxby’s – Courtney chauffeured because Logan just had knee surgery and was on crutches. Our first official date was at Texas Roadhouse (one of Courtney’s favorites). We officially began dating on May 1st, 2016, and the rest is history! Logan claims he knew before we even started dating that we would get married one day (but Courtney doesn't believe him). Much of our relationship has been spent miles apart and in two different time zones. We enjoy time spent together at baseball and football games, working out, and with friends and family. Along the way, we have been to many cool places and experienced things unimaginable. We cannot wait to officially begin this next chapter of our lives together as husband and wife (preferably in the same time zone) and see what the future holds!
