The beautiful couple actually met a year before they started talking to each other in a small "get together" in a dorm room at the college known as none other than SUNY Old Westbury. They were both quiet and in their own zones (drinking) and didn't really talk to each other the first time they met. They didn't even see each other again after that night until basically the next year. So the next year comes and they started seeing each other more when they would hang out at group gatherings but still not much communication between the two. Then one weekend, their lives changed. It was Virginia Beach Weekend, and most of their friends left to Virginia that Thursday. LaChaye was a superstar lacrosse player at the time and had a game that weekend so she couldn't go. Kwame planned to go Friday instead of Thursday because he wanted to go to the PnB Rock and Don Q concert that was on that Thursday. So, coincidentally they both ended up going to the concert without each other knowing. While at the concert, out of nowhere Kwame received a text. "Hey sexy, this is Chaye. I got your number from ..., what y'all doing tonight after the concert?". From there, LaChaye met up with Kwame. They spoke about their lives and her love for "Lud Foe" and the rest was history! They never stopped talking from that point on. Fast forward to September 2022. Kwame decided to crease one of his favorite sneakers in the rain by bending down on one knee and proposing.
