It all started the summer of 2023. Lacey and her cousin Kate who are both teachers and famous for yapping on the phone for hours about nothing actually talked about something that would lead to Lacey meeting Alex. Kate saw on TikTok you should put a picture of your credit score on your dating profile. Thankfully Lacey was a responsible finance girlie with a good credit score, bored during summer, and down to add it to her Bumble profile. Next thing you know Alex and Lacey matched. Lacey said a creative "Hey!" and Alex cut to the chase asking her to dinner that Friday when he would be getting back from his work trip in Florida. America Airlines added a little spice by diverting Alex's flight to Austin, but thankfully he was back in Dallas in time for dinner. Alex was exhausted from a long travel day but managed to keep up with Lacey's stories and add in some of his own. They discovered several crazy coincidences and that they had many things in common. He did mention he loved that Lacey had her credit score on her profile. Their first date was on June 23, 2023. They continued to go on dates, meet each others dogs, friends, and family. Lacey went to Alaska the next summer with Alex's family for 10 days and Alex's mom told him he would be crazy not to marry her. Before Alex could propose he had to make sure their dogs could get along. Alex's schnoodle Walter is a tuff protective little guy who did not like other dogs. Lacey's labrador Parker is the complete opposite and queen of the dog park during her apartment living days. After a lot of meet ups and tons and tons of treats Parker and Walter could finally look at each other and be in the same room. On April 17th, 2025 Alex took Lacey to a suspiciously nice dinner at The Harbor in Rockwall. After dinner he walked her to the fountain where he proposed. She said yes! Alex and Lacey can't wait for the big day and to celebrate it with all of you!
