Why Costa Rica?

Answer

We chose Costa Rica as our wedding destination because it offers a convenient location between the United States and Chile, making it fair for all our loved ones. We have both visited Costa Rica independently and fell in love with the idea of a wedding amidst the rainforest with a volcano in the backdrop.

What are the CDC's recommendations for traveling to Costa Rica?

Answer

The CDC recommends taking standard precautions when traveling to Costa Rica. Currently, there are NO active Zika Travel Health Notices. However, travelers should be aware of a Level 1 precaution for dengue, advising them to protect themselves from mosquito bites by using insect repellent, wearing long-sleeved shirts and long pants, and staying in places with air conditioning or screens on windows and doors. Are babies and children allowed?

Answer

Heck yes! However, the bride WILL demand baby snuggles. We just ask that you make sure your child is included on the invite or has been explicitly confirmed. We can also help arrange a babysitter if needed to ensure everyone has a great time!

We're working closely with our wedding team to secure discounts and arrange transportation for these options, making your stay more convenient. Booking through these hotels will help simplify logistics for everyone. If you decide to stay elsewhere, you might need to arrange your own transportation. Once our recommendations are available, we encourage you to book early to secure your preferred choice.

How do I get around in Costa Rica?

We're working with our wedding team to help with transportation to and from the airport and to the ceremony and venue. However, if you choose to handle your own travel, there are various options available. Costa Rica is easy to get around with options including renting a car, using public transportation, or hiring private shuttles and taxis. Plan your transportation based on your itinerary and comfort level.
